  1. Exactly. I've had numerous Porsches, but speedo accuracy has always been pretty good - less than 5%over-read. However, at 10%+ it gets a bit irritating, especially if it's adding erroneous mileage. The speedo I'm looking for doesn't need to be perfect, just prefer to fill the hole with a working unit whilst mine is done, and the person who it was sent to - a month ago! - is just going away for 3 weeks!!
  2. Yes, the reason for getting mine recalibrated is the 'over-reading' - more than 10% - 80mph at 70mph. My concern is, if the speedo is over-reading, is the milometer also over-reading?
  3. Fair comment. I thought it was a legal requirement to have a working speedo. But, yes, I could use a gps. However, might still be interested in a temporary replacement speedo if someone has one.
  4. I'm looking for a Speedometer for a 1989 3.2 Carrera. Obviously I've put a post in 'Wanted', and there's some on eBay, but just wondered if anyone here has one or can recommend a good source. Needs to be in sound working order, correctly calibrated and sensibly priced. I actually only need it for a few weeks, whilst mine is being recalibrated (over-reading) and then I may re-sell it. thanks
  5. Still looking if anyone can assist. Have checked eBay, and there is an MG one, but part # doesn't match. thanks
  6. Last year a stone fractured the rhs front headlamp on my '89 3.2. Took it to my OPC and they replaced it, but mentioned their supplier's otherwise identical lenses did not have the 'BOSCH' logo on the lower part of of the glass. Anyone have a 'BOSCH' lens or complete unit, or know where I can get one? thanks
