Seems very fair -I am in. Took me ages to log in though..

Looks like a 76/77 2.7. Not likely to be a 3.0 with those basic seats

Ssorry for the bold type, did not have my glasses on!

MFI wins hands down for the essence of the 911 feel, 911's rely on the throttle to control the balance of the car. The 3.0 Carrera is very nice though- and 15mpg compared with 25mpg

Well done for your attention to the detail parts. Will be a lovely car. The gauges look great, but Speedy must be an ironic name after 5 months!

Lots of great shots and interesting camera angles, excellent film.

First question to ask - is it tobacco in all the hard to paint bits like the engine compartment and luggage area? If so how well was it done? If has all these areas done properly in Black, may as well be better to leave it. It would be cheaper to sell it and buy one in the colour you want.

Have you checked to see if it has the original engine?

Might tell you on a COA (Certificate of Authenticity)

1974 911 2.7 MFI Carrera Targa engine lid grille query
kitesurfer replied to RDJH's topic in Early Carrera
I think the 74's should have black metal grill. -
Engine well knackered judging by the smoke from the exhaust..

Thanks!

I have used Carlo, Biagio, Nick and Canford. They are all excellent. (And all always take longer than they said they would!)

Does anyone know if a 1985 Carrera steering wheel will fit on a 1992 264 in place of the air bag one? I know the airbag wiring will need sorting, but just wondered if the fitment is the same? Thanks! 964!

I agree with Henry, if it is not rusty, much better to just strip it.
