Snett now arranged - £140 for IB Supporters gets you a full day's fun with Goldtrack and the IB crew at an enjoyable, challenging and safe track - 130mph on the back straight in RB's car.

This event is perfect for track newbies and old hands alike so am expecting a few of you there on the day. Don't leave it too long to book as it will sell out fast; even at regular prices it is cheap for a midsummer trackday.

So who is coming?

Off the top of my head it is so far:

Me

Ace

Jevster

Twinny (and his dad on a bit of a special occasion)

Bruce

Tank

Staying at the Angel Inn in Larling again the night before, will be good craic. Call Andrew on 01953 717963 to book a room, great food and decent Guinness on site.

OK, just 12-ish weeks to go now until Snetterton. We will have pre-event craic at the Angel Inn, garages on the day and hopefully lovely June weather so nice hot tyres to help us on our way. There are still spaces available, and it is guaranteed to be a really fun day out with your IB brothers, so book your places NOW to avoid disappointment.

It's not about who is fastest, it's all about having a laugh and enjoying the car. You decide how much and when you drive, you run where you are most comfortable. It is 100% up to you what happens and any nerves are gone in the first two laps.

More names for the list please!

Just about ten weeks to go now until this event and hopefully we will see some new faces in the paddock taking their cars on track. It is totally non-competitive, great to be free to drive the car the way you want to drive it (and the way it loves to be driven) and you are guaranteed not to embarrass yourself as long as you are having fun.

Snetterton is a great track to do a first trackday on, cheap event too, so if you feel like you have had enough at lunchtime then you can call it a day at that and each session will only have cost you about the £40 mark. All good stuff ;)

Great news Muttley baby, you should have emailed me for the discount code tho, support our favourite racer. Will be a great day with you guys there on site also. Put your passenger seat in: Twinny's dad will be first in there for a few laps.

Melindi announces the garage numbers a few days before the event but hookup will be no problem, will tell you closer to the time bro ;)

Thanks guys, really appreciate your support for my Dad. :ani_clapping: He's a motor racing nut and has been fighting off the big c and now can't drive, so this is a big one for me.

Have organised a total petrolhead week for him.

GWFOS on Saturday

Alfa national Day Sunday - (had a couple of Suds in the past)

IB Snett day on Wednesday with you guys + Melindi is organising some fast pax laps with some of the other circuit regulars on the day.

Plus anything else I can shove in the other days.

Thanks again.

I think I might be able to do this day :ani_clapping:

Passenger seat fitted, and fire extinguisher successfully re-routed.

Fitting seats for the first time is such a pain, took me 4 hours to get the drivers seat in, and still not totally happy.

At least its made easier on the passenger side as the exact positioning is not so critical, but it still took a couple of hours....

I still haven't heard back from Melindi - do you guys book via email or the goldtrack site?

I email and telephone and leave messages and seldom get any response. Odd way to run a business....

I am currently waiting on Spa Friday and Snet responses. The one time I managed to speak to Melindi she promised resolution 11 days ago. I have 600 notes to spend with them and they don't seem very interested.

Rainer - yes please on the room.

I just mail her and she books it but the guys using the site say it works 100%.

RB I will nudge her on your behalf. Jev, have PM'd you the Snett code.

The main woman just mailed me about something else so have mentioned it.

I am not a track day person but wondered if I could bring my Marcos instead of either of the Porshes. Normal lap time for this car is low 1.30's, not very exciting but fun.

Are you absolutely sure you don't want to bring a 911?

I'm not a 'track day person' either really, I like the social of it and love being on track but I don't take it deadly serious and am usually one of the slowest 911s out there. The IB days are intended to be fun, light hearted definitely the attitude. Take the safety seriously but enjoy the rest of it.

Your 911 is in no danger of being driven too hard you know, it's hard to kill these things ;)
