I just did a proper Group 4 Stratos valuation for persons unnamed. They are a work of beauty. The garage also had a red beast in it. Mega tbh... Honda power ftw

Another yes to both non return valves and intake filter getting blocked. Great when they work but at this age they can be pretty mouldy. A good soak in sodium hypochlorite for the tank is a good idea! I would buy new washer jet valves.

Sending best wishes Alastair. I hope you can hold on to the car for a bit and see how you feel in a few weeks. I bought my first SC down in France from a chap who had been medically retired from the Met Police through epilepsy. He did not want to sell and insured his wife on the car. She did not get on with it and it came to me. I always felt she felt bad about that. It is a hard decision to take.
