  1. Engine number breaks down as: 6-6cyl (obviously) 3-911SC RoW 8-1978, so started life as a 78 911SC
  2. Hmmm, mine is still untouched at 140,000-doesn't smoke only uses small amount, leaks a bit but they are scary figures all the same! Hope mine keeps going a bit longer or I'll have to rely on the 100E!!!
  3. Hi and welcome- I spent a very enjoyable 10 days in Norfolk,Virginia a couple of years back-nice place and a great car!
  4. Just picked up this thread, my Supersport Targa has black leather piped in pearl white. Happy and better New Year to everyone
  5. I had the same issues (if not worse) with my '86 SSE Targa- again started with small blisters above the rubber sill strips-I ended up with replacing the lower rear quarters (about 12") both 'B' posts, Drivers sill and repairs to the tops of both rear quarters, just below the blacl moulding under the Targa hoop. If you look inside the rear quarters behind the B post you will see that its wide open and a natural rust trap-especially Turbo & supersports, I've seen quite a few now so it's no surprise, good luck-it's still worth the effort!!!
  6. Thanks-I've heard a lot about IB (all Good) and I'm looking forward to meeting up and meeting like minded enthusiasts who regard IB's as THE 911 derivative-NO QUESTION!
  7. Hi all, only just joined,I've got an '86 Carrera Supersport Targa in GP White,140,000 miles and owned for 7 years- the best thing I've EVER bought! I got it as a divorce present to myself!
