During a recent trip to the Nurburgring I got about 550 to a tank, generally around 400 to a tank with mixed driving including lots of loud pedal up and down the bypass!

Hello, Can anyone let me know what the switch on the left of the photo under the dash does? I worked out the larger one to the right selects the mirrors for adjustment but I cannot find out what the smaller one on the left does. Probably something obvious. Thanks Neil

Mine where exactly the same as this, I just rubbed them down, primer, basecoat, lacquer and they dont look to bad so far.

Hi, What exhaust do you have on your car? I have a Dansk and never considered it would be to loud! Might need to go and get tested. Anyone know where you can get this done? My brother is off to Bedford tomorrow to get his MK kit car tested to check it within limits but thats a bit far, was hoping there was somewhere closer. Last time I did a car track day I took my diesel Leon and they laughed at me during the noise test! :-) Cheers Neil -

Hello, Does it run ok through the rest of the rev range? Also how bad are the backfires and missing? Mine would backfire and miss at idle and when changing gear as the revs dropped, I traced this to it being setup really lean on idle. Only other thing I can think of is does the dizzy use a hall sensor (anyone?) I am imagining it does and I have had numerous problems with other cars using a similar setup with the symptons you describe. Keep us posted. Neil

Excellent choice, any photos? The tank is the oil tank, as for the perished pipes depends how bad they are, if they leak you will lose lots of oil, if it was me I would get them changed ASAP but they are not cheap. Not sure if the warning light comes on if a bulb is blown, I would suggest is the pads or a shorted wire but someone else here might know for sure. :-) Neil
