  1. whats the 'racing' like Beaky? Do they actually push or is it more like glorified demo runs? have fancied doing this but its a long hike if they just 'relatively' pootle around.
  2. should be calming down at my tender age 😉 so i bought this a couple of months ago 😅 do love a Tamburini....
  3. Thought that would be the case for those absolute thieves🤨 what a con really, but nothing surprises me anymore with governments and taxation. Pleased to say the car still made me whoop with delight when I gave it the beans through some twisties, it still flys! But then I’ve been driving a plodding Jeep all through winter 😃
  4. Glory be! The old girl is 40yrs old to the day. 202,300 miles later 😅 Took her for a fine 40minute blast this morning through the lanes to historic Lenham, Kent. Now to sort out the Historic vehicle exemption and stick two fingers up to the system 🤩 (am I right in thinking it still won’t come into effect until next April?) 🤨
  5. wow! and i thought i had an obsession! that is a cracking Group C collection
  6. we were going to go again this year but the prices for 'organised' camping are obscene now, they wanted £900 each person to share a frigging tent in a field! Interesting that they still had availability as late as last week, wonder why..... and thats before you add fuel, food and beer (10-12 euro a pop) Said we will go back to basic camping next time like our early years, just to make it cost-acceptable, plus you get nicely immersed in the whole 'spirit of Le Mans' vibe. Just a bit harder on your back in your 50's 😅
  7. 86' here too Beaky, thinking along the same lines! mine is a January 86' though so does that mean next year is fair game for me? Cant wait to give the middle finger to the thieves that be!
  8. i love that cabinet in the last pic, clean lines and lit well, the models really stand out nicely, what a display of F1 cars too. The black background one in the post looks good too, makes the car colours pop.
  9. yes it is!
  10. this thread is a menace to my bank account 😀 got this on the way in 1:18, thinks thats at least 4 Mclaren F1 gtr's now,
  11. good lord, i would have spent a kings ransom in there 😅 damn, and i was in Tokyo just a couple of years ago! didnt even cross my mind to go shopping for these ☹️ mind you the wife wants to return to Japan (and we both loved it) so there is hope for the future 😁 I am collecting the Le Mans 1:43 series at the moment, get two cars every month, have had some beauties so far but my shelves are filling up fast, need to build some more! This month i got the Ford GT LM and the Ferrari F333SP
  12. wow bigger operation than i thought, would love to work there!
  13. Forgot this one in my photos, still looks great all these years later
  14. they look great, but that price?! f**k me, bonkers per tyre price. How do they justify them being twice the price of an MPS4 ? Not that i think an mps suits our old cars anyway, too grippy and modern looking in my humble opinion. Love the fact you can run 9 & 11" wide 😎 superb!
