IB Trackdays 2007
We are running on a number of different tracks this year and they should all be a lot of fun. We’re not a bunch of speed demons and you don’t have to be a class A racing driver to come on track with us. The aim of our days is to hook up with friends and explore the cars’ capabilities in absolute safety, at a pace owners are 100% comfortable with. Any hooligans or wannabe racers are quickly booted off the event by the organisers. The only possible exception to this will be the Nurburgring, where it is a public day which we have no control over. But we have to go, just to see what all the fuss is about!
Our trackday partner (on all circuits bar the Nurburgring) is Goldtrack, who are ATDO approved and one of the best (if not the best) in the UK. Calum and Melindi will do everything they can to make your day on track as fun as possible. Novices can also ask for an instructor to take them around for some initial sighting laps of the track, so they get a rough idea of where the lines are and what to look out for as the day unfolds. Most Goldtrack days are split into two sessions, so newbies and old hands run separately; this is a very safe way to go. My focus in every event is to bring some new people along with us, so everyone gets to feel what their car is like when run consistently around a track. IBs come alive in this sort of unrestricted environment and all 911 owners should experience this at least once.
