  1. Thanks very much for all the feedback, much appreciated 👍
  2. The stripes only went on last week and must admit I'm undecided if I love them,I will be leading with a non stripe advert and option for with/without or with stone guards fitted.
  3. That's better! I've seen some £30k 911's and they have rust and you would not jump in and drive it to Lake Garda Thanks for the feedback 👍
  4. About £17k with me stripping out glass, trim etc and refitting
  5. I think the blue headlight rings add £500 😂
  6. Hi, I posted this question a couple of years ago (for different reason) but due to an issue with my hip I now realise the offset pedal position on my 911 is making it worse. Lack of servo is also an issue. After this years Spa Classic/Holland road trip in May it will be up for sale. Not straightforward as an ex Australia (until 2000) ex 2.7 narrow body that was modified to wider rear quarters with an SC engine fitted in the 90's. Rust free and very reliable as been my road trip car for the last 7 years (Le Mans Classic, Spa Classic, Alps, Italian lakes etc) Full glass out bare metal body job 15 months ago by DPM Autobody with colour change to Arrow Blue. Very small sections of rust found on offside sill and attended to. New SS exhaust in 2022, refurbished Fuch 16" wheels 2020 and a new Targa top and seals by Southbound in 2021). Mileage 271000 kms (kmh speedo). Original interior in great condition. I know prices are a bit all over the place and mine is not numbers matching but a very good useable 911. I am thinking Car and Classic auction as don't know what value to advertise at. Good SC's going well so maybe not far behind them? Going to buy a 997. Any feedback greatly appreciated. Cheers
  7. Morning, I had an annoying rattle in the drivers door and see that I have a missing clip that holds the small rod in place, anyone got a spare? 😀. I may have to look at the passenger side door to see the part itself and go looking but thought I would check here first. Cheers Keith
  8. Back now after bit too large roadie! Montreux through all the Alpine passes to Lake Como and back with not one sign of the cutting out issue 😀 Double rear puncture in my mates GT3 and a dropped window in my cousins 944 along the way I left the relay base with the Porsche fuel pump relay hanging off the base plate so think the base was distorted in the back plate (rubber way too hard) Boxengasse next Ah, just spotted the road trip section and should have pout this there
  9. Contact cleaned the engine multi plug just because it had been disconnected for paint. Put a Porsche relay in the base but have left base loose and not forced into the base. All good after M25 drive to Hayes and back so looking good. Girlfriend worried but I said its all good as Ian and Phill said I can go 😃 4am start tomorrow with 4 spare relays, tools and AA cover. No time to change fuel pump and with the relay base I did heat up base to soften and fit but still way too hard. Gut feel is that the base distorts when forced in and thin pins on other relays have caused the fails, fingers crossed. Also had an issue with alternator a few years back and rev counter died straight away, this one feels fuel as don't remember seeing the tach drop off. Will look out if it happens again. Thanks a million for all the comments and advice!!!
  10. Thanks Ian, will take a look Going to drive it around this morning to see what happens
  11. Agree, I fitted a new pump about 6 years ago but can't remember the brand. No issue when driving quite hard but not sure if I am imagining a not very smooth lower range. It started as soon as in traffic and kept playing up through it. I blatted backwards and forwards around an industrial area behind the A2 exit and all good so thought I was good to get back onto the M25, in traffic started cutting out again
  12. Evening all, I'm supposed to be going through the Alps on Saturday and then onto Lake Como but broke down at the Dartford tunnel a couple of hours ago and not sure how confident I feel now! Issue arose last year at Le Mans Classic and car kept cutting out. I fitted a spare fuel pump relay I had and still cutting out, I bent the pins slightly out to get a better grip and no issues all the way onto Pau and back to the UK. I noticed a burnt socket in the relay base so fitted a new base from Design 911, not impressed as the rubber super hard and tough to get into the base plate. I went for a test drive (after big paint job) towards Oxford a few weeks back (pre the road trip test) and the issue returned with the new relay and new base. I spread the relay prongs slightly as I think the socket holes are too big in the base and I also think the relay pins are smaller. Ran perfectly since then. I drove 2 hours to Hastings this morning and no issue until I was sitting in Dartford Tunnel crossing on way back. Cut out about 20 times but could drive a short bit to get onto the A2 for a thirty minute rest. I spread the pins more and drove ok until I got in the tunnel and started failing again. Pulled over after the tunnel and took the base out of the baseplate and left it floating, ran fine all the way home to Cuffley. I personally think cheap product and poor fit between the base and relay. I will probably fit another base but not try to force the rubber into the plate and just leave it hanging. Tempted to still take it even though my mate can lend me his SC (with intermittent hot start issue :)....). Question is could it be something else doing this?? Any comments appreciated and sorry for the rambling as it has taken me 5 hours to get home. Cheers Keith
  13. 👍 funny enough I was thinking about stainless hoop I don't mind my flag mirrors
  14. Prefer the chrome headlight rims to go with the black plates
  15. Just door cards to go on and a bit of blacking on some of the rubbers...
  16. Evening Phil, I could have sworn my car had the switch on the master cylinder but when I took the board up today was pleased to see the switch on the pedal, happy happy. Bit of contact cleaner and a slight tweak on the arm I have brake lights 😀 Thanks as well Chris.
  17. Evening Phil, I could have sworn mine had switch on master cylinder but when I removed the floorboard found the pedal switch, happy happy. Bit of contact spray and a slight tweak to the arm and all good 😀
  18. Excellent, I'm going to take up the pedal board tomorrow to see if I can get to the wires
