Rough Running after 3 months unused
Bobafett replied to Andrew911sc's topic in Starting and Running Issues
Mine was the same after a Winter layup. Felt it was missing and firing on 4 cylinders. Take for a drive, let it get to temp, and then drive it like you stole it. Problem cured. Runs sweet now. -

I fancied this Haith, but I've a track-day at Anglesey now rescheduled for the Sunday, so might be a bit too much. Typical, but not surprising as diaries fill up quickly for remainder of the year, now coming out of this stupid lockdown.

June now all cancelled for me. Sept is a very small possibility, but looking more like 2021. Thanks again to @Richard Bernau for all your hard work on this, it has been greatly appreciated!

A very sensible approach, & well done Richard for all your sterling work!

I'm certainly looking forward to Richard's Alps tour in June 😂

Ah that's interesting. I was sold a Momo steering wheel boss for my 3.2 Carrera but the hole in the boss is a tad too small for the steering shaft. But was told it's Porsche, so assume it will work on a 964. Ta

Well done Richard for all your hard work, one Garmin locked and ready to rumble! Cheers!

Wow, that's a beast for sure. 👍 -
@Busybee you must have a very understanding other half 😂 I would love to upgrade on my stock 3.2 but runs sweet and will leave alone until after the Alps trip! 👍

Brilliant stuff!

I'm also at Essen Techno Classica end of March, flying out to Dusseldorf for the Wednesday and back Friday. A great event for sure, and the autojumble there is superb. Picked up a full tool kit and a clock last year. AirBnB for me this time, as my usual hotel has gone silly money, now the event is so popular!

Great report & write up BusyBee, certainly proved invaluable cross-referencing against what is on mine now - thanks again!

Lovely example, well done and enjoy!

Hope I can actually make a worthy suggestion and contribution to this excellent road trip and tour organised by @Richard Bernau for our benefit next year. Though apologies if this has already been mentioned before. On Saturday 27th June 2020, the day after we finish our tour there is a huge Porsche meet at Mollis near Glarus, in Switzerland. Celebrating 70 years of the marque organised by the Porsche Swiss club, and guests are invited to register in order to attend the event. Link to the website: http://cms.porsche-clubs.com/PorscheClubs/pc_mollis/pc_main.nsf/web/708936E541109CC5C125822B003A6B36 Youtube vid, with the first event taking place in 2016. The last one was 2018 - so assume a bi-annual event. Be great to spend an extra day out there! Be a shame not to attend, as only an hr drive or so from the last hotel stop on the Friday night in Weggis.

Leather embossed, that is nice!

Very apt thread, thanks OP for starting this as I am also looking to do the same. I see standard sizing seems to 350mm, any thoughts if 310mm would feel better - or would it be harder work given non-power steering? Thanks in advance.

Totally agree, I have far too many toys - and not long sold a classic I have owned for 20 years which was tough, but no regrets so far. Need a couple of other projects gone, and then will prove more manageable. for sure! I have a pal with a 964 C4 for sale in Essex, tempting for the Alps but needs money spending on it and again, another toy!! 😮 Absolutely, and the first round of beers in the Alps is on me 😎
