  1. Good morning all, just to update my searches! Won a decent condition engine lid for £115 on eBay. Won a decent new fuch replica on EBay for £53, which I’ll give the RSR look both going on the garage wall! ps I did offer on the ‘demon tweeks’ boot lid. Turned out the seller was Tuthills! They wanted minimum £250, so put it out of my budget
  2. They do look good, but too good for me as only want one to go on the wall 😂
  3. Forgot to mention… the cheaper engine lids seem to collection only and always around 400 mile round trip!! do unusable fuch ever come up now or are they considered so desirable that people use the centres or re-barrel them?
  4. Morning all! Having finally built myself a double garage I’ve been on the look out for a few IB items to decorate the walls. - Have been searching for a battered old engine lid - and a knackered old fuch and a cookie cutter. I’ve owned my IB for 15+ years and not been in the buying parts market for a while. Engine lids seem to have really shot up in value - some flat lids evenlisted as £1.5-2k! Fuch don’t seem to have changed much in value over the last 8 years or so, remaining high. Maybe that’s since new ones started to be made? More modern Porsche wheels, anything from the last 25 years, seem to be dropping in value significantly. Maybe the market is saturated? just thinking out aloud really! still loving my IB and recently fitted out the passenger bucket seat and harnesses so our youngest can enjoy it with me 😁
  5. My 79 SC was £5250 from a private seller in 2010. 😁 since then I’ve rebuilt, removed or replaced nearly everything! couldn’t afford to buy it now though!
  6. Thanks again for the recommendation. £390 with Classicline. Valued at £45k Declared roll cage and engine. 6 UK track days. Now to go and drive it!!
  7. @SurlySurdi do you have any modifications declared? Like a roll cage? agreed value? I’ve got to call them again tomorrow 😁
  8. thanks @Chris T - I've tried on line this evening, but now need to speak in person with them tomorrow.
  9. morning all! Recently had an Insurance up for renewal - originally quoted £150, then upped to £850 all within a single phone call. My policy last year was £350, but then they stopped track day insurance. Any advice on where to go for a limited miles, 5 UK track days and non original engine? Does track day insurance within a policy still exist anymore? Thanks Ben
  10. All good thanks. I’ll be fitting the Nankangs to replace the 888s and running them all year round. I’ve realised that when I’ve had different sets of rims and tyres in the past I never swapped them over and they just got in the way!
  11. Evening Paul! Hope you are well My mate is raving about Nankang AR1s at the mo and I’ll be going for them to replace my similarly aging Toyo 888s! Ben
  12. that is a shame - top bloke and always my go to for getting wheels sorted.
  13. Oh mate! that’s the end of a big journey! on to the next one! (got my Bay driving well now so we’ll have to meet up in those instead!)
  14. A space has popped up on 911UK.
  15. shame I can't make the 27th - hope it goes well. look forward to catching up at some point this year👍
