  1. Feels about right to me tbh. Just a first look shows; Wrong carpets Badly trimmed door bins Loose earth wire near coil Front bumper doesn't fit well Gaskets on one headlamp washer torn Rear light lenses poor Various rubber trim bungs missing Rust bubbles on front wing I could go on but won't, Having owned a C3 for some time I don't understand why they should be worth any more than SC's as they are no better in reality. Maybe it's just a 'rare car' thing. Agree on the colour, very nice.
  2. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284363716541?hash=item423565f7bd%3Ag%3AFbYAAOSwkhJg5nio&LH_ItemCondition=3000 £11500 to change a clutch, service the car and check it through. That's about 10 hours work (in my amateur hands) and less than a grand in parts. Bonkers.
  3. Guess they didn't use a scanner on the car to match the existing paint and simply mixed to the paint code. That's the issue I would suggest. I've just had some paint done on a metallic SC and it came out pretty spot on using the scanner but a panel blend was still required to fully disguise it. Nice SC by the way.
  4. Heating them up to soften the rubber helps. You can also apply red rubber grease to the hole in the inner wing to ease it in. The limited access is half the issue. Cheers FF

  7. Nice looking car Haith in one of my favourite colours. Good work. Cheers FF
  8. Looks brilliant Haith. Good work 👍
  9. Bit rubbish. Made contact with the forum landlords for advice with no reply. £15 down the loo I guess
  10. Actually Nige, I don't have that check box on my page? Is it something available to GRUPPE IB only perhaps? Cheers Andrew
  11. Car looks great Haith. Some good work going on there. Really like the colour and the look of the dash area on the early cars is so clean (hope you're retaining the original steering wheel). Seems quite solid structurally too so following with interest. Good job👍 Cheers FF
  12. How do you free up attachment space folks? Visited 'manage my attachments' but no obvious way of deleting past images? Cheers FF
  13. As it's usually just the lower section that rusts out, the typical repair method is to remove approx 100mm of the A pillar outer skin, cut back the drain pipe to good metal, flare the end of the new section and braze it in. Watch out for wires within the A pillar. Cheers FF
  14. Thanks H. I went with a Tiptronic as an antidote to all the 915's I've lived with for 30 years lol
  15. 996 Turbo. The chap that purchased Bamboo lives locally so could have been him Steve. I've just re-upholstered the seats for him actually so it now features a Pascha interior! Cheers A
  16. Yes, I have another 911 but not an IB. I'm done with IB ownership now but I'm still maintaining/restoring them for others. Your car is looking really good btw, glad to see it's nearing completion. All the best FF
  17. Car sold several weeks back. thanks for the 17k views of this thread.
  18. I see your car is now for sale on ebay. That was a short love affair...what happened?
  19. As they say, you learn something new everyday. Thanks FF
  20. What are they for, interested to know? I have a couple of spare rear bumpers removed from 3.2 coupes in the garage and neither have them...
  21. I would suggest they have most likely been drilled by a previous owner for reasons unknown. I've never seen 'factory' holes in that location on any of the UK cars I've restored. Cheers FF
