+1 Woof - me to! What an amazing looking car! https://www.ruf-automobile.de/en/modelle/ruf-scr/
  2. Boxed / Unused Carcoon size 4 Red base and 4 clear sides for sale. All IB will easily fit and give enough room to easily manoevre onto the base. It does have toggles on side so you could attach to roof or frame to drive in and out (when wet and the car will dry quickly). Paid £470 each for these, how does £300 sound (boxed never opened)? Your car gathers no dust whilst in the pod, convertibles can be left with roof down or off - Dimensions are 470 x 200 x 169. Pick below is give idea of size and scale.
  3. Hi Chris, Congratulations on buying your CS, great cars indeed. There seems to be 28 C16 cars still registered in the UK, with gone for good and some that have been shipped overseas of the UK 53. Your old N-GT went to Switzerland and then on to Italy, if owner ever contacts you I still have the original ECU. Hope all is well. Simon - Barty
  4. Will be going to this event as well, looking forward to this event!

  8. Have Carcoon size 4 Red base and 4 clear sides for sale. All IB will easily fit and give enough room to easily manoevre onto the base. It does have toggles on side so you could attach to roof or frame to drive in and out (when wet and the car will dry quickly). Paid £470 each when new, how does £250 + Post sound for used one and £375 for new one (boxed never opened)? Does have tyre mark on used one, where car has sat over winter (road dirt will clean). Car gathers no dust whilst in the pod, convertibles can be left with roof down or off - Dimensions are 470 x 200 x 169.
  9. Have weekend tickets and looking forward to some great racing - Mini and Porsche 2l have been the two best races in previous years for me. Evenly matched and amazing skill! Fingers crossed for dry skies, or maybe a light dusting mid race.
  10. Subaru Forester STi - 50k miles from new, imported from Japan via GT Torque (Jap importers) they only source A-1 condition and modify the cars to UK spec and ensure comply with UK Road standards. The engine is standard (quick enough) it can be tuned and many are. This has a stainless exhaust and new adjustable suspension to give you either a comfortable ride or a sharpened ride. Interior is in great condition (unusually)a lot suffer with melting plastic cabin, this one is perfect, it does now have a modified touch screen head unit (Kenwood) and new rear speaker and sub woofer. So this car is the correct rally Blue (Burns/McRae) paintwork with a scratch on door mirror (minor not touched in) and a small dent on wing the size of a 10 pence that will pop out if your bold enough to try. If I was going to keep the car I would also have wheels re-painted, they are ok but could do with a lift. It is an estate so can be sold to the family as a sensible option, it has 6 gears and on a journey at 70 mph the Turbo is not spooled, so get's about 30 mpg and is quiet and relaxed. Drive it with the Turbo on and it is not sensible at all, the mpg is some what lower than 30!!! The car has an excellent AWD system, look on YouTube it works incredibly well, these cars are built with 10 years of Rallying pedigree under their belt and are very reliable and everything works. (I have another Forester with 155k and have done the last 25k miles in the last 3 years). Plus side, Japan has no salt on the roads, so cars have less rust or in this ones case - no rust at all. Japanese cars have annual MOT test (Shaken) which is £650 every two years, this encourages new cars to be purchased as they are exempt, removing older cars from the road. So cars like this Scooby are generally run and maintained exceptionally well by enthusiasts with deep pockets. These cars were only produced in Japan they were never exported so rare in UK, they have a claimed 265 bhp turbo 2.5 4 cylinder Boxer engine (makes me smile every time I drive the car) 0-60 claimed 5.1 and a top speed of 140mph. This car is very quick and feels very quick when driving on the revs, however, if driven with out turbo boost it is very docile. There is rarely STi in this condition with 50k miles for sale, I looked at the ones I could when buying, most had been given a hard life, most of the adverts are for Japanese cars in Japan waiting for your deposit before importing ( this takes 3+ months to import pre Covid) and you won't know the condition. FSH (Japanese) and import details from GT Torque. £15,750
  11. Welcome Kit - looking forward to hearing about your 3.2 journey!

  15. I have 17.5 lites ( 7 x 2.5l cans) of the attached paint cost around £400 + VAT. I have since had my floor done professionally and it is surplus to requirements. Free to someone who passes on a good deed to another IB member, Collection from Windsor, Berks area.
  16. Very Sad news, I remember following his career and knowing of his family title only after his retirement. What an amazing life he had, maybe a tad short. RIP Johnny Dumfries.
  17. Hi Jack, If available could I buy the Ashtray from you please. Please let me know price and payment method. Many thanks Simon
  18. Anyone have any thoughts on this? It would scare me to buy such a heavily modified car, wonder why they didn't start with a 930 in the first place? https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1989-porsche-911-carrera-3-2-super-sport-turbo-custom
  19. Piece of culinary work that is chaotic, badly organised, or very untidy = Dog's Dinner You really need to get out of the house and seek help / inspiration this is not acceptable. Did you enjoy it though?
  20. Age 24 Car - 1985 3.2 - Sport Equipment Black on Black Paid £13,500 - Inflation value today 2021 - £28,500 - had 45,000 miles FSH - Sold in 2008 with 90,000 miles to Greg Cramer (Heritage / Singer) who modified to look very cool and articles were abound of the perfect 911, which he sold immediately. Bought from my best mate, who bought it from his Boss who bought it new, 80's Estate Agent.
  21. Flippin Bangers - has been the goto car show since Xmas when if I get an hour to myself. Contrived like all other shows but at least some actual spannering and skill in the improvements they make and done to earth cars. The two presenters seem commercially inept which winds me up and 'they pull me back in' to comment and participate in their antics. - Keeps me happy. Can't get into the new Geezer Dealer since Ed China parted company with the show, surprised after 3 years he hasn't resurfaced on a Top Car Programme yet.
  22. This was the plan and instruction from above 'smaller garage'. This was my previous 'Toy Shop' which got out of hand.
  23. Unfortunately not, I built the pit for a Bendpak lift. Following the cost of the Garage I had to wait 5 years to be in a position to the interior. By which time the Bendpak was discontinued and given its a small bespoke recess all others I have contacted to date are too large to recess in the pit. Unlucky Alf - Bugger!! Did toy with infilling before flooring, but one day someone may come up with a small option. If you look to the left you will see an in-fill panel - so can't take credit for that aforethought on design. I can and have had a lay down in the pit to view and tinker on the underneath, works quite well as a 'chilax pit' In thirty years of various garage / barn ownership, they have all been dumping grounds and yuk. So I decided to wait until I could do the garage I wanted I use it most days and enjoy being in it. Looks a bit busier than the pic above now.
