  1. Thanks John, Job for this weekend methinks.
  2. Cheers John, I'll give that a go. She's fighting back at the thought of wearing a bra!
  3. Hi Guys, I need some help. Recently noticed the right rear tail light and right front side light is out on Rosy, took the lens cover off and replaced the bulb in the rear stop/tail and still nothing. Had a look in the fuse box and noticed #6 (marked parking light) fuse had blown, replaced it and as soon as i turned on the lights again it blew the fuse straight away. Incidentally the brake lights are working fine. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Bought one of these Marcus Sucro Relay Kit the other day as i was having some intermittent probs with the dips going off sometimes and a little smoke from the stalk when flashing mains. I am told there is a lot of current going through the stalk and can cause it to burn out and at £200 or more for a new stalk i decided to invest in the Sucro relay kit to take all the load off the stalk and put through relays. Kit was $30 delivered from USA and arrived in 3 days. Very comrehensive instructions and easy to fit. I found the dipped wire (Yellow) on the top side of the fuse was burned black and perhaps i sorted it just in the nick of time. Has made the headlights much brighter and i can actually see where i'm going now. Would recommend these to anyone. ps i know there will be those of you who can make these for themselves for 10p, but as i have a very limited electrical knowledge i didn't mind shelling out.
  5. Personally i like it. As someone once said, it's all about fun and you would certainly have fun in that!
  6. I wonder how Mrs Dan would feel about 'coming out' in a car that colour!?
  7. How do you mean John, "will use them all", are you saying the car will use more of this oil than some other oils? I only do about 3K a year in the car and that's including a Le Mans run. Cheers.
  8. How much oil will i need to buy for the change chaps? Ta.
  9. Thanks guys, I've managed to find the VR1 at my local Auto factors shop for £19.99 for 5L. I think for that money i'd be fool not to use it.
  10. At the risk of starting the age old oil debate, i have a question. I am about to undertake an oil change on Rosy, i was wondering what oil to use and have heard good things about Valvoline VR1 20/50 Racing, this is a semi synth i believe but cant help but wonder a fully synth may be better. What are everyones thoughts on this? I know the majority of you will probably start shouting Mobil 1. Mobil 1 at me but as i change the oil every 3K is it really necessary to spend £100+ on oil? I also have a small leak from the drain plug on the rear oil tank and fear with a very thin fully synth this will become much worse. I may have answered my own question there really, but just wanted a better idea from you guys who probably have more oil experience due to some of your more senior years. Thanks guys.
  11. Thanks mate. Feels like a weight's been lifted.
  12. Brakes finally seem to be sorted now. Took her to my neighbours MOT bay and put her on the brake tester, it showed that the grabbing brake was not at fault as i first thought but the non grabbing brake was seriously down on power. Took her home, disassembled that side and found one of the pistons wasn't coming out properly. Got mate to pump pedal with screwdrivers in there instead of pads (to stop pistons coming all the way out) and bingo as soon as the good piston was out the sticky one came out afterwards. Did this 5 or 6 times, reassembled, took her out down local bypass and Bingo all seems dandy now. Probably needs a few miles to properly bed in pad that wasn't working properly but no more lockups, except when i gave her a real footfull and then it seemed to be both wheels locking. Next Donny trackday after Le Mans here we come. Incidentally, looks like i've scored a free Shoei Lid off my mate who's a bike mechanic on world superbike circuit. Those of you at Donny last monday may remember the problems i had removing the one i borrowed off Jamie, due to my oversized swede.
  13. I thought you would be. Not just any M3 engine either, was an Evo! Good to meet up and put some faces to the names today and thanks for the rides chaps. Looks like Dan, Jamie and i will be having a play too after the trip. (If i ever get the bloody brakes sorted!! ) Thanks to John for sorting a good day, even though I didn't go on the track stilla agreat day.
