  4. No Bert got a 69 sporto shell and running gear but thats to go!! 73 S is also going My ex misses could well be coming back I know that might sound an odd swap but it floats my boat.....
  5. Sure he wont go far, im still here and with no IB at present
  6. Ive got a set if interested regards Gra pm me for details and mine have the seals required
  7. Looking cool to me Jammo where did you get that number plate must of cost a fortune lol
  8. Only asked due to my recent experience with the Ferrari as thats gone to OZ being rhd!!! They do have some funny laws ie. all imports have to have New or in date tyres on them!!
  9. Did you import it to OZ or NZ or was it just entered into a motor sport event as i thought it impossible to take lhd down under...
  10. Hi it was roughly £3000 to £3500 for labour plus a second hand roof and door bits ie frames etc the more roof you can get the easier and cheaper it becomes. That includes paint but every scenario is slighly different. He would alter the interior strengthener to suit a coupe look else it would look wrong but in my mind thats not a bad price if you started out on a cheap Targa...imho
  11. Its actually not as hard as you might think Dave at 911 Classic has done a few and was going to do my 71 S for me before it was stolen doh still got the roof!!! IMHO its the only way forward i will grab my coat lol only joking guys
  12. I uprated mine but kept the original covers and managed to fit them with a little bit of blue tack!!
  13. Mark outstanding your timming must of been amazing for back then, great pics
  14. I was talking from my experience, my wings had been repaired before and were not worth the bother. It was also a good reason to clean everything up underneath the front wings including aircon pipe removal, dirt and grim and sort any dodgy under seal problems out. Then mine was good for another thirty years.....Deffo!!
  15. I personally would replace them, there are some decent second hand ones that appear on ebay from time to time but off the top of my head they're about £600 each new from porsche. They can be sucessfully repaired but by the time you've paid someone to do that properly your at the price of a set of good second hand ones any way!! imho ps if they are bubbling up from underneath whch is the norm for that area by the time you have dug around a bit they going to look bad!!
