When I drive my car alone the passenger seat rattles a lot on its rails- any wizard cures? Thanks in advance.
-
Hi Jonny thanks for replying - £600 - why would anyone want one?
-
I think I may have raised this query before but I can't see any thread! I have a solid rubber whale tail - weighs a ton - must have kept the rear planted when it was fitted originally. Fittings are rusty. Is it of any value to anyone - or should I just bin it? If anyone wants it they are welcome to it - collection only. Thanks
-
Cheers for that link - I'll measure the holes and order a pack.
-
I have in the past removed the whale tail from my '88 Targa and liked the sleeker look - I just put black plastic trim studs(for want of a better word) in the lower tail holes in the lid - oo' r missus! I subsequently refitted the tail as I had little room to store it. Has anyone come up with a better way of temporarily filling these holes, other than welding and filling etc, to enable a future swap back from sleek to tailed? I know I could obtain a second lid but the faff of respraying and fitting extra hinges, locking pin etc puts me off that route. I look forward to your creative responses.

Yes - I take my wife on the Thursday - free for members - it used to be a motor show which was just too commercial, but now it a fullish day of Hill action - worth a trip.

You are right - that sounds like a plan - corner the market 😀

£20 - you are ruining the market - says the man who has one similar in his garage as an investment

Are the squirrels attracted by the peanut butter? 😀

We went on Saturday - fabulous - but I agree abut the extra crowds - I assume its because they have the Associate Membership thing going on - Members in waiting - who seem to get all the benefits of full members - which doesn't seem fair - but there doesn't appear to be any forum to discuss/challenge the GRRC! Spot on Mark.

I have a used pre-silencer somewhere buried in my garage if you are interested. Its off my 1988 3.2 Carrera. About £75 ono seems about right - tell me if I'm wrong.

Hi Mark Sorry can't do Thursday as we are away and next week looks tricky too. If you are happy to leave it till later this month or early September that would be great. Failing that I can arrange to send them to you - possibly next week - but at £70 not £65. Hope this is okay.

Tried to start my car last weekend - cranked but didn't fire up. Checked out all the electrics to pump - then removed skid plate and tapped the pump which burst into life! The old adage of ' If in doubt - give it a clout' sprang to mind! Should I replace the pump - which has run fine since it restarted? Replacing the pump looks a real pita job - is it? Any tips - or should I leave it to a garage? Thanks for any advice.

Sorry no - I haven't had it done yet but his work looked superb so I will idc - other matters got in the way as ever.

Cheers Matt - will do.

Jonny Hart gave me the number of Artisan Autotrim in Tunbridge Wells. I visited Matthew on Tuesday - he has a wonderful SC Targa that he fully restored - more than immaculate. He is going to do my targa top in the New Year. Brilliant bloke with some serious skills. I'll report back once the job is done. Thanks Jonny.
