  1. Looks fantastic....well done. Cheers, Geoff.
  2. I quite like that look..... Cheers, Geoff.
  3. Very nice, I love the colour.... Great location shots. Cheers, Geoff.
  4. Guys, I had a look at the car today and it has two engine lid struts. One strut either side of the passenger side hinge. Anyway, it's up to my mate now to make a decision....thanks for all your help. Cheers, Geoff.
  5. Type 911, I'm having a look at the car tomorrow, so I'll report back on the strut issue.... Leicestershire, I think you are referring to the "Carrera whale tail" which came out in 1984 on the 3.2 Carrera. As far as I know it was not available for the later SC's... Cheers, Geoff.
  6. Thanks again guys for the replies.... Thanks Gary for your info mate. From the replies and some additional research I've done, it seems that the 1981-1983 SC's came standard from the Factory with no tail. The "Tea Tray" spoiler appears to be the only Factory option that could be added, if you wanted a tail. Cheers, Geoff.
  7. Thanks for the replies guys.... Yes he is an originally nut, so if he doesn't like the Turbo spoiler, what other spoilers could he look at and still be period correct? On my 1984 Carrera, I have the Carrera spoiler, but this is only from 1984 on isn't it? Cheers, Geoff.
  8. Guys, A mate of mine is looking at a 1983 SC and it has a tea tray (3.3 turbo) rear spoiler on it. He is not particularly fond of the look of it on a narrow bodied car and he asked me if it would have come from the Factory with it on. Would someone know if this would have been the case, or did the SC's come with another type of rear spoiler? As we don't have the original Sales Invoice it's hard to tell what it came with. I know that it is possible that it didn't come with any spoiler, but he likes the look of a spoiler, just not the tea tray. Any assistance is appreciated........ Cheers, Geoff.
  9. The interior code of NA, is that the seats/carpet/side panels are linen, and the roof liner/trim is black. Hope that helps. Cheers, Geoff.
  10. I noticed that this car is coming up for sale..... http://www.autohaushamilton.com.au/porsches_for_sale.html I think this car is known to the Forum. Cheers, Geoff.
  11. I think I'm right in saying that 1984 was the first year of the trunk sticker. Cheers, Geoff.
  12. Mark, Thanks for the offer mate, but I think I'll go brand new. My existing set is in pretty good condition, but the base section has some stains on it that I can't shift, hence my need to go new. Thanks, Geoff.
  13. Thanks guys....much appreciated. Cheers, Geoff.
  14. Guys, Does anyone know who makes a RHD front luggage carpet kit. 1984 911 Carrera. I'm after the original looking perlon type, just like the original OEM. I've found some LHD kits in the US, but they don't do RHD.... Thanks, Geoff.
  15. If it's a 1984 car, it's a Carrera and not an SC. The SC model stopped in 1983. The tail you have is not a Carrera tail.... Cheers, Geoff.
