  1. So fit out proceeded during January. I chose the Cayman Sport all red rear lenses. A Cayman R rear spoiler fitted. And I detailed various parts in gloss black, lower lip spoilers, mirrors, side grills, fog light surrounds, headlight surround, etc Also fitted a brand new windscreen which always makes a difference on a build like this.
  2. Sticking with blue but one with a more classic feel, Riviera Blue.
  3. Cobalt blue is a nice colour, and looks great. But it wasn't quite what I had in mind. Spending my days building custom 911s means that most factory offerings always seem a bit dull. So after driving it around for a few months and with the workshop shut down over Christmas I got stuck in.
  4. There seems to be some love on here for the 987 family, so a quick thread on my own Cayman. I bought it last summer during holidays in the UK. I was looking for a fairly high spec car and got lucky. From the factory it had: Sports Chrono 18 way sports seats with memory SatNav PASM Extended Leather Bose PCCB Xenons Carbon interior pack. and the previous owner had just fitted a sports exhaust. Taken the day I collected it.
  5. The 6x15s are worth more and harder to come buy but the 7s worth all but nothing. We have several sets in the work shop that we use as roll around wheels when we remove Fuchs to prevent accidental damage whilst work is done.
  6. For some reason though they don't make the 6x16s
  7. Any excuse for a pic [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I find it too awkward to post pictures here. Last time I tried it wouldn’t let me link to pictures hosted elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I bought one early this year to use as my daily. Spent a weekend getting it dirty in Donegal recently, great cars and great value in Porsche terms. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Try now, I've emptied it out.
  11. David, Send me a pm with total inc shipping and method of payment. Shipping to Limerick, Ireland. Although I have a UK address if it works out to be a crazy price. Cheers Jon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Engine cradle, max Diesel spreader and spring plate spanners for me please. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk And the chain/ rod supports please Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I recently bought a 987.1 Cayman S to use as a daily drive. So far it ticks all the boxes. I thought about an R but they are very mileage and spec sensitive when it comes to resale. And I feared it would become another car I didn’t want to drive for fear of denting the value too much. My S has a high spec so a nice place to be and average miles so I can do what I like to it without any guilt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I have a few customers waiting for these, but the date seems to be constantly slipping back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I bought a low mileage high spec 996.2 GT3 last year and I love it. It’s been to LeMans Classic, a couple of trips around Wales and this Easter I spent three days in the Scottish Highlands. I chose it over the earlier car because I prefer the looks and because I wanted PCCBs. I chose it over the 997 because it’s the last performance Porsche without any driver aids or active suspension and is still a manageable size for our roads. Yes there are cheaper alternatives that will be just as quick in the real world but they don’t rev to over 8k and their steering wheel doesn’t wriggle in your hands as you blast down your favourite road. I also have a 987 Cayman S and can probably hussle it along at the same pace but it’s just too easy, you don’t get out of it feeling like you’ve accomplished something. Go for it. 16. As with most things Porsche if you had the money and knew an obliging dealer you could have what you wanted. They look original to me, I would sell on and find a cheaper tatty pair to recover. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I suspect you have no power to the fuel pump on cranking. Get someone else to listen to the fuel pump as you spin the engine on the starter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I presume you can also visit without a car? I'm on hols in the UK and would like to pop along. Is it the same entry price as a walk in? Sent from my Nokia 7.1 using Tapatalk
  19. Power from the yellow starter wire runs to the cold start injector during cranking, it leaves the injector and arrives at the thermotime switch on the red/black wire. This earths through the body of the switch until the contact inside warms up and breaks the circuit. The thermotime switch has a bimetallic strip inside this is heated by power from the yellow wire which also earths through the switch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I think that seat rail is on backwards. That lip should be at the rear of the seat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I’m afraid not. The car was all re-trimmed in leather we had to special order 5 hides to sample. We have half a hide left which will go to the customer in case he needs it in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Cinnamon interior we have put in a ‘76 turbo. It’s a little redder than cork. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Cinnamon was used until ‘76 from ‘77 onwards it was Cork. They weren’t available at the same time. AFAIK Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
