  1. Thanks Chris, apologies for the late reply. My car ended up with NJS in West Kingsdown. They stripped the whole fuel system down. New pump, filter, replaced the MAF unit, refurbed injectors, replaced the intake manifold gaskets. Runs better than ever now.
  2. Hi Chris, Which injectors did you buy from the States? Are they still good? I'm thinking of a set of Lucas. Thanks
  3. Good afternoon gents. My car (86 3.2) is currently sick and I've been told the injectors need replacing. Anyone got any leads for new ones, or refurbs? Thanks.
  4. Any thoughts on recon units, and suppliers? My car is currently with an indie and needs the air flow meter resetting.
  5. I can highly recommend Hamilton and Palmer Sevenoaks. They combined mine with central locking.
  6. I couldn’t figure that one out 😀 thanks for all the great comments. Thanks Matthew I’ll get them ordered shortly
  7. Thanks gents. Matthew, I need some struts for the bonnet and deck lid. I have the tail on the deck lid and currently one strut each side, which two struts do I need? I’ll get them ordered via your website. I thought it might help someone else if I posted it here.
  8. I got Cass Bros Bromley to do some interior work - I should have done it years ago. I’m very happy with the results. before After
  9. That’s what I have sourced from USA. I can’t believe they don’t come with rubber boots for that money.
  10. Has anyone tried a refurbished unit from Frazer? How did you get on with it? I currently have my unit apart. I did order a new track from China weeks ago but it’s not arrived. thanks
  11. By the Sheriff, you mean John? It might be a good idea to get it valued..
  12. Great, thanks gents. That will help me decide my next move. I think it’s sadly time to let someone else enjoy it, but I may spend a few quid on it first.
  13. Thanks Phill, one of the reasons I’m asking is because I might spend a few grand on mine to sell it for top money. I get your point but if I said to you I’m going to buy an entry level roadworthy and solid 86 coupe for £15k you’d say it ain’t going to happen, so what would it take minimum?
  14. I have owned my 1986 moss green 911 non-sunroof coupe for 20 years, and in the past ten years it has sat in the garage, only coming out for the annual MOT. I bought an SL55 just over 2 years ago, and now I cannot see the Porsche getting used - despite my best intentions each summer. I have checked and values seem all over the place. Rather than ask for a value on my car, I'd like a ballpark figure for someone who is in the market for one. So, if someone was looking for one asked for advice on the price of a coupe, around 1986 with 100k miles, LHD, with solid body, great mechanicals, and complete but tired interior - a solid car in need of TLC, and MOT'd, so roadworthy. What would you say is the minimum that person would need to spend ? I don't need to sell and I have a minimum amount that I would want to make me part with it. It has been in our family for 20 years so it will not be easy to let it go. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
  15. A bit late but hey! I followed up on the advice and suggestion and contacted H&P for new fobs. I was told the rubber degrades over time and they offer a rebuild kit including battery for £15!!! Ordered, fitted and works a treat now.
  16. I did the Dansk dual out for a while, and decided they didn't sound good at all - I didn't like the look much either. I wanted something deeper. Anyway, I'm much happy with my Turbo Thomas exhaust (single). http://www.ttexhausts.com/porsche-911-74-89-exhaust/
  17. where did you get the engine jacking point from? I like that....
  18. Ah, I didn't know that. The key fobs could do with replacing so i'll see what spares are like. I also have the remote central locking which is great.
  19. Ah, I see. I have a sport then! The combo that you have now looks great in white.
  20. My car was stolen years ago, and the insurance company insisted I got one after that.. This firm did it http://www.hamilton-palmer.co.uk/ very happy with it - they do a lot of high end cars.
  21. Thanks mate That second video sounds just like mine - sweet!!
  22. What is a 3.2 Sport? Nice car btw...
  23. Thanks mate - I never get bored of driving it! HAHA! good memory! I put together the kit to fit 930 calipers but I never fitted them - sold the whole lot for £1k years ago - including new genuine turbo discs - I imagine they are expensive these days. To be honest I did a few of the upgrades in the early days, t/bars, bushes etc, and in hindsight I wish I hadn't. For road use I think the standard set up is fine, my set up is a bit harsh on the road. I also get rid of the Proto....(?) steering wheel and went back to standard as it was just too heavy for the road.
  24. Excellent job, and great thread that car is way too clean
  25. Haha! Yeah, in 2013 we were thinking of selling to do work on the (new to us) house, but in the end we couldn't part with it! I did wonder why Adrian Crawford (who I bought it from in 2001) was so keen to get it back - then I saw the prices I had to renew all the calipers recently to get it through the MOT (today), and so it has given me some enthusiasm to get some jobs done on the car - its been untouched for years now, other than the annual MOT.
