Graeme's 3.2 SSE: road-legal race car
Baby Blue replied to graeme's topic in Gruppe IB: The Hot Rods
U were probaly so cold u cud nt feel a thing ........painless Well done , at last ! -
FWIW i owned oner this colour with more orange tan trim many years ago , i think 2 off the chassis number here .the dash was from the next series 3.3 as was the interior trim and turbo boost gauge ......if that helps Lated until 213000 miles , with adjustable boost and no intercooler !
-
Pal of mine, bought a Yuppie red 3.3 with 5 speed, modest mileage used and regularly maintatined by proper folk, 3 months ago,.from top name trader just a tad under £50k ......................mint, all known dogy bits [ imc head studs] attended too Hope thats some kind of guide .......................one can argue the pros and cons of 3 .0/3.3 and 5 speed but i would dare to suggest its all on condition.........................a ratty 911 turbo would be my definition of a money pit .....................Porsche had a way of making turbo parts stupidly expemsive !
-
And nor should any one else at that price .....................lovely maybe ,but nutty price .........................IMO Anyone care to explain how this is even remotely close to market ?
-

Thks Teo ............if i do go kettle i think it will be a 997 .....frankly i am no way committed and the one i was looking at seems to have fallen thru .....i dont want to go 996 though Want something warm comfortable that wont wallow all over a track and then can be sold for not much less than i pay in next 2/3 years At the risk of playing vulture while people get paid in derivative notes etc i reckon i ought to get a 20 000 miler around £50k level ..........................playing with my other toys in the meantime ! -

Please dont exaggerate Nick ................only one caught fire, having ripped 2 wheels off ,by then it was on its roof at the top of Eau Rouge ! -
with tyres over 12 years old have nt really had the chance to find out!
-
u ll have to do better than that to get a lunch Richard Sorry a complete luddite for vids and piccies ............... Wud recommend shares in Fabreeze to anyone .............the smell of stale Barn gently subsiding ! Working gently through a general tart up , not the ideal weather for it though!
-
jUST IN CASE ANYONE S STILL WONDERING...................19000 mile ,3 owner full history from day of sale ABSOLUTELY 100% ORIGINAL .......even the tyres are 15 years old and the spare alarm and and wheel lock keys still taped to the top of the tank as they left the factory.................original coatings on underpan unmarked and correct etc etc Oh and i am the Mug who bought it.....red braces extra! I have a video of it in the barn where it was kept fpr a while and the mice munched through the foam sound deadening into 2 neat piles in the engine comp ! IT DOES need some TLC, but having seen it stripped down pm yesterday nothing that isnt allowed for in the asking price
-
