  1. Just to add to this, I think you’re meant to test it when it’s up to temperature - I had this problem on mine years ago and it seemed to pass the test - but in reality we hadn’t got it up to temperature - we’d underestimated how efficient the 911 is at cooling
  2. Without wishing to be controversial I find with the 911 taking the hands off the wheel temporarily works really really well and I know I'm not alone in this - the self-centring is really strong and it's the quickest way to correct an oversteer when it flips back. I'd recommend testing it on a low grip area at low speeds before using it in anger but it's fairly natural once you get used to it. The low grip handling circuit at silverstone is ideal for testing it - or a snowy car park. I think it's not for the initial oversteer but for when it's going back the other way and you can't steer it quick enough to catch it - lifting your hands off for a split second allows the self-centring to do the work for you. If any of you crash while doing this then it's your problem though. Just sayin'....
  3. Nice stuff - be interested to hear your feedback on the LSD
  4. Kin ell - that shot’s not meant to happen for another 3 months yet!
  5. I think the ‘race bump steer kit is part of the spindle raising process - a lower arm is welded on and the steering arm can be positioned at the right height between the two Monoballs are good - crisps up the steering and removes a bit of slop you hadn’t noticed Dunno about the bigger ARB and softer shocks - I went to adjustable anti roll bar and coilovers at the front - I’ve got it on the softest setting, but I’d still like to go softer (I believe I’ve got sport billies) because I’d like to soften the front to sharpen it up a bit more
  6. I've got adjustable rear ARB and can tighten or loosen the rear end by adjusting it. By tightening it to the max I can induce oversteer fairly easily and with the LSD fitted it's manageable. Quite hooliganny. I've loosened it up a bit more now
  7. I found depending on how stiff you make the rear it can make the rear stick more, or when it breaks away it does so in a controllable way. Before fitting it the rear (to my memory) only broke away 3 times - but I spun on 2 of those times.
  8. Mixed view on LSDs or on Quaife LSDs? I run a Quaife one and it's been great
  9. Awesome stuff - very exciting - I’ve also got the Quaife LSD and have just gone lightweight with the flywheel/clutch housing (G50 though)
  10. Fair point - it's probably just because they can
  11. Not heard about these - do you have a link? I know about the stainless ones but not heard of plastic. I’ve often thought it would be great to redesign them in such a way that the cable pushes and pulls them open and closed instead of relying upon a corroding spring
  12. Nice one Nige - they look good. Are you adding any sort of protective coat to them?
  13. The mounts were the biggest shock because I wasn't expecting a change. It removed about half an inch of slop from pressing the accelerator to moving forward - which I hadn't noticed was there. You can get wevos for the G50 gearbox mount but it's the full replacement cross-beam and is spendy. Superpro were fine - in two parts that you press in.
