  1. Cracking week down here. Shame about the No.20 car. We were all excited with hour and a half to go. Currently in F1 Evereux after evening blat half way back to Calais. Very few IBs spotted all weekend
  2. Real spirit of IB ! Maybe there should be annual awards. FD would defo be up there for one.
  3. Like your list Stormwalker but I thought the budget was 2k? Think you maybe just a tad over
  4. So if I fitted the oil kit, what spec of oil would I need?
  5. Mine was the same. 122k in and all was still within spec for a fast road set up when I took it to Skidmarques in Brentwood Essex after I did the tie rods. Suggestion was leave as is to avoid any damage to nuts etc. So they just did the toe and I have to say the improvement from the turbo rods was really surprising.
  6. So you went with my recommendation then Kevin? How are they getting on?
  7. Vaseline left on for a day or so (the petroleum in it seems to suck out the grime) followed by a anodised finish polish as Chris says works a treat on mine. Shame the centres are so faded. I really must mask them up and give them a spray with worth satin black when I have built up the courage
  8. Any idea on the Dort of price they are asking? Mucho mucho I would expect.
  9. Matt does them for about £60 the pair which is where mine came from. http://type911shop.co.uk/shop/article_1435/911-1965-89-Coupe-Door-Seal-OEM.html?sessid=IJigLihvsQE0LGFUzOEQObHcjFR8y5OyVn9trAkTXKy14W2edJBGfwhcjVsmJeix&shop_param=cid%3D474%26aid%3D1435%26
  10. Don't charge it through the cigarette lighter! Nasty story on here about someone who tried that I seem to recall. Edited to say............... Having re-read that maybe you mean cable run through a closed house window which meant you weren't advocating a charge through the lighter. Soz. Either way. Charge directly across the battery
  11. Thanks chaps. A job for one evening this week then
  12. Got some new door seals today (Birthday pressy ) as my current ones are ripped along the bottoms in places. Looking at the size of the bit that is held in place it looks like it is going to be a hell of a fiddle to fit them. Anybody got an idea of how easy it is, what trim has to come off and and tricks/tips? Thanks in advance. Richard.
  13. 3pm not 4pm proposed start? That's getting a bit tight for me as I have commitments in Essex till about 2.30ish and it would be an hour to Greenwich from Chelmsford. Can we leave at 4?
  14. Isn't it stamped on? Sure last time I looked at a Boge strut it was written clearly.
  15. Right. Cheers chaps, that is this weekends job sorted then (along with my JWest coupler from the bulk buy)
  16. They are the ones I have Just checking they didn't need pressing in whilst still in the engine bay. Cheers!
  17. And the new one drop in? I take it the engine ones are the same but you remove them individually from the chassis in their cups (by undoing the two bolts) and do it on the bench?
  18. Is it a bitch of a job to get he old bushes out then? I have superpros to fit and assumed from 101Projects that it was a simple drop out job for these and the engine mounts. If it is a pig and has potential to go wrong maybe I won't try it before Le Mans!
  19. I had this problem on a Lotus Excel a few years back. Removed aftermarket alarm/immobiliser and never had the problem again. Any aftermarket systems on your car?
  20. I think the fact that they have put it up by £10k in the past 48hrs is a brilliant tactic. .......... "Errrr, like bovered........."
  21. After fitting turbo tie rods the previous weekend, this weekend consisted of a full geo set up at Skidmarques in Brentwood and then a full home service and gearbox oil change. Fun weekend even if it didn't include any driving. Now all set for Le Mans in 3 weeks time
  22. The red one at Hexagon looks lush! But £130k!,! And to think I nearly bought one back in 2007 for well under 30k! I still would if money was no object.
