  1. Thumbs up for RH. Website may be kack but giv ether a call. Have used them loads in the past and went back to them for the 3.2. 5k miles with commuting at agreed value of £20k came to circa £270
  2. 935 FAT was a lovely car when I saw it at Silverstone. Didn't realise it was for sale!
  3. Well two hours of waiting, 200 yards on track at approx 5mph average and then another hour to get out of where they had penned us in Just luck of the daw I guess, as some manged a lap and a half. Only disappointment of a throughly fab weekend but after it we couldn't be arsed to queue back to the Porsche area to watch any more racing so headed home. Some great racing on Saturday, 30+ degrees in the stands and then at 18.30 a down pour of biblical proportions. Meant we missed The Hollies on stage but spent a great evening in The Petrol Head Pub on the Woodlands camp site (live band , loads of singing and the days races on the telly). Certainly a step up from a Le Mans camp site!
  4. Mrs Hoopy going to Le Mans? Is that aloud? If so don't let Mrs Wingnonut know. I've been telling her for years girls aren't aloud
  5. Guess how I ended up with my Guards Red 3.2?
  6. Don't try dry. It makes nigh on impossible to adjust or squeeze bubbles out. No need to wait until dry to remove paper though as long as you are careful.
  7. I was at the Maldon Car Show yesterday with my Guards Red Coupe parked with a red 944 one side and a red 3.2 Targa Super Sport the other. I thought my paint was quite good until you could compare directly. The other two were sparkling and mine looked Matt Pink by comparison! Really must get mine properly sorted. Would be very interested in where you went and how much.
  8. Cheers R2. Fitteda Hi torque starter today and not only does it sound like a super charger when it starts up it also works every time
  9. More I look at this car the more I like it. Lovely colour. I would get over there ASAP Hoopy if I was you. Need to get the factory a/c reinstated to keep the originality I would say though.
  10. It is a manual but it is silver I am afraid.
  11. I'm there camping Friday to Sunday too so will keep an eye out for you. Car will be on the PCGB stand (he whispers) so I won't be easily spotted on the camp site I am afraid. Going with a mate with a 993 Targa and have managed to convince the SWMBOs to come with us. Not sure if that was such a good idea though Billy, I am not sure anyone will begging fast enough to have a crash. I reckon it will be like the M25 on a Friday evening!
  12. What are they made of? I thought they looked like cast aluminium in the picture, so wondered how you attached them. Reviewing the fitting guide it would appear they are not. The mounts are good on my car and I managed to sort the problem and have a solution for the future with new bolts and lock nuts but these are good to know about when they do give up the ghost. Cheers.
  13. If they are same as M506 then they are 944 631 40 00 L and R according to PET. Blooming late edit function That should say; If they are same as M506 then they are 944 631 40700 L and 944 631 708 00 R according to PET.
  14. Trying to drop the front of my engine to fit a new Hi-Torque starter motor last night and got stuck for more than an hour trying to undo one of the ARB mounts! One of the captive nuts had "uncaptivated" itself and was just spinning. It is a right feeling struggle to get a ring spanner in there to get a hold of it and it was a good job it was the upper rear most of the two as the lower forward one I would never got into. This post is just to vent my frustration (although I triumphed in the end) Anyone else had the same problem?
  15. Remove it from the socket. I am guessing there is a catch somewhere but I can't locate it. Doesn't help that there seems to be three black plastic bits and I can't work out if the bit sandwiched in the middle comes away with the bit you remove or stays put (if that makes sense).
  16. Any advise on how the black 14 pin connector comes apart? Can't seem to get mine undone and certainly don't want to force it and potentially make things worse! Cheers, Richard.
  17. That looks good! Almost to good. Defo worth checking out
  18. For sale for personal reasons? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-911-Turbo-3-3-/290923503156?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43bc645e34
  19. Is that the one the Detailing guy got hold of?
  20. Hi, Is this Hoopy of HoopylightR fame on Blatchat?
  21. Northy, Same here. I would have ordered by now if I could get in touch, but radio silence and detail on the website is limited
