  1. From experience I found refitting easy if reusing old seals , complete pig if using new ones . Used a windscreen firm in the end who I have know for years and used to classic cars it took 3 of them in the end 2 inside if you can imagine and one outside .. still sitting a bit proud for my liking . May revisit at some point in the future . Good luck .
  2. Very nice indeed , you must be chuffed , what exhaust set up did you opt for ?
  3. I found having a sensor and gauge on my 3.6 915 combo , oil temp not to be a concern at normal 60 mph ish speeds despite very spirited driving it does start to rise though on sustained high speed in 5th say around 100mph . May not be relevant as may be getting cooked by your exhaust setup . I would try as Lewis suggested with a infrared thermometer .
  4. Has to be swepco .. do I win a prize 😂 though I put Morris lubricants mineral EP75-90 my in mine no expense spared .
  5. Certainly a good turnout , I did wonder where your car was Jon , easy to spot Northy's car though with the orange stripe ! Good to see you Lewis looking forward to your final thoughts on the brake conversion once the new master cylinder is fitted .
  6. Nice one Lewis , will follow in your footsteps
  7. Thanks John , It sure was fun going up Fish hill full chat . I could feel the limit of my tyres as I tried to hang on the back of your 993 Great to meet you too , and not far away !

  10. Talking of motors, my sunroof motor stopped working , bought a used spare but didn't work either annoyingly . I need to test the motors .. is it a positive and neg coming from motor or is the motor body ground ? I had a quick go last year but gave up .. must try harder
  11. I am hoping elephant racing rubber is the answer , mine has been in for 5 yrs , just hope its not that cheap rubbish rubber that lasts a fraction of the original .

  14. Thanks ..will do . I would like to stay tbh as they also insure my campervan (non classic Sprinter ) and it keeps things easier but its quite a difference but will give it a go . The only other price I got for info was Haggerty but they were £425 .
  15. Classicline renewal £420 , Footman James quoting £297 ,though no track days included but can add later if needed ,5000m pa . 911SC 3.6 @70K . Looks like I will be switching .
