Having a clear out of bits and pieces from my lamented ‘77 Carrera 3.0 Targa and I’ve put a load of bits on eBay - need to clear the space so there are no reserves on any of these and they will go irrespective of price so may be an opportunity to grab a bargain https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F222739545186 Thanks Damien

A cautionary warning to anyone trawling eBay for parts for their Porsche. I got scammed by a Seller from Essex - sometimes in Brentwood other times in Prince Avenue, Westcliffe-on-Sea - going by the name of J Brown or eBay ID 'francass1.' I purchased a gauge, paid by PayPal but was then asked to send a cheque as, quote, 'PayPal's fees are too high.' The PayPal sum was refunded to my account but I never received the item. My emails at the time were ignored and shortly after the eBay account seemingly closed. I would have to state here that this was in 2008 BUT, according to the search I set up through eBay at the time, this Seller is now back in circulation and has a number of Porsche parts for sale. I got little help from eBay probably because I sent a cheque; payment by PayPal is much safer, I know, but at the time...... Further emails to 'francass1' in the past few weeks have all gone unanswered and the facility to ask questions of the Seller has recently been disabled. That, and other similar experiences to mine reflected in the Seller's Feedback comments, speak volumes for 'francass1' I believe. Be warned, be very, very wary of dealing with this person.
