  1. There are constant questions on what the IB market is doing and what is a fair price for different models. There is never a correct answer because a car is worth what someone is willing to pay and you'll always get some low and high priced cars distorting the picture. The easiest way to track the market is to build up a picture of asking prices over time. This doesn't mean they will sell for that but it helps give an indication. Hopefully this will be of use to anyone looking to buy/sell an IB. I'm going to suggest capturing: Year/Model/Colour/Mileage/Any major details e.g. engine rebuild/Prviate v Trade/Price and a link to the add (which will be useful when live). If people highlight new cars as they come on (we may get some duplication) then it'll be a great place for everyone to search and track IB's and their prices. 2. Not sure what model these are for or indeed if they are a complete set? Maybe they are inter-changeable or could be modified? I was going to modify them as per Bruce Anderson’s book for improved cooling but did not get that far! The turbo one is the only one with a part number, the others look new and have been coated with a high temperature paint. Worth a hundred pounds for the lot? Regards, David

  4. Having to clear out a lock-up now that my 3.2 is gone. Have some items, most of which I picked up here to return to the IB stream. Stuff is in Bray in Ireland for collection. 3.2 seats door cards and rear seat backs purchased from JSM1965. They're navy leather with material centres, with electrics. Great condition. Comes with door cards and rear backs (the only bit that's not in great nick is the rear back) Delighted with them, but sold the car so never got to use them. Happy to get what I paid back. £600 ish, 17'' 964 Turbo twist reps with conti sport tyres (tyres are still legal but are near enough to wear markers) 3 of the wheels are perfect, one has minor curb rash. All pictured. £500 ono. 1 9'' Maxilite fuchs rep rear. I kerbed the bejaysus out of it when bought another. Could do with it being removed to hide my shame. £ Many thanks Hammers
  5. As per photo, a pair of light-weight rear turbo flares. no idea of value but suggest £50.00 plus postage? David.
  6. The Oxfam shop in Carmarthen has been given a donation of two Impact Bumpers radiator grill badges which were made to commemorate 16 years, a T shirt ( Medium) with a design by Guy Allen, some pens and key fobs. After some research I found this forum and realised that they are still in demand. Following the advice of John Glynn we have decided to sell these in bundles including some more key fobs that were generously donated by John. These are as follows... an unused radiator grill badge with fittings, a key fob and a red pen ......for which we are asking £99 including postage an unused radiator grill badge with fittings, a key fob and a green pen....for which we are asking £99 including postage a new medium sized brown T shirt and two key fobs.... for which we are asking £20 including postage I will be putting them for sale in the shop next week and thought I should tell you about them as I know how much you all love them. If they do not sell in the shop we will then put them in our online shop (Oxfam online). All of these products are new and would make ideal Christmas presents to yourself or someone special. With the added bonus of 100% of the money going to a good cause. The Oxfam shop is in King Street Carmarthen. 01267 232773. Thank you John for your advise, encouragement and the key fobs. 7. Before I put this on flea bay I thought I should offer it on here. i have a surplus engine for sale now the matching numbers one has been reunited with my car. This one I have removed was totally rebuild by Neinemeister back in 2012 for which I have an invoice totalling £9800! The engine has only covered around 2-3k since as it was in a car that was subsequently written off! its a 1978 engine but has had the hydraulic chain tensioner conversion done at the same time as rebuild. it comes with exhaust system and the intercooler etc it was removed from my car after being in it for a few years but had extremely little use.... I can confirm it runs beautifully. any inspection welcome I think I am being very fair at asking around £20 k make me an offer Graham 07951098339
  8. Front spoiler rubber, new. 930 503 055 01 ......£390 plus carriage. David
  9. Two new Bosch headlights complete with bulbs, black rim and adjusting screw. Looking for £350 each plus shipping. David
  10. Have six headlight lenses, not sure how to describe four of them as they are in their original boxes and look new, but there are very small barely noticeable nicks on three of them, and a larger approx. 2mm chip on the fourth! I’ve stuck masking tape to point to them and tried to photograph the blemishes but they are very small. I think one can see the chip with the asterisk? Anyway, I’m asking £45 for each of the taped & arrowed wasones, and £30 for the used one with the seal on it as it has slight road rash. The sixth lens is perfect, £60? David
  11. Having sold my Turbo, these are now surplus :- Set of four wheels as above, scratch on the rim around one and a couple of scuff marks on one of the eight inch, and a larger scuff mark on one of the sevens. Photo’s try and illustrate the marks, the wheels are original and un-machined. Looking for £1,400 for the set of four. There is an extra 7” wheel (the one with the shinier black centre), looking for £300 for it (all plus carriage at cost of course). David.
  12. 930 505 511 02 new panel, asking £190 plus carriage. David.
  13. A pair of Bosch H4 headlights from my 1983 SC cab, excellent overall condition, lenses have signs of use but nothing detrimental. £450
  14. Now SOLD! Many thanks for the enquiries. I bought this car in June 2006 and have used it intermittently during the following 13 years, as I have spent at least 7 of those years working away from home. It’s never been used as a daily driver and has generally not been used in winter or on wet days. It has always been garaged and at one stage was put into storage when we were between houses. Gearbox I suffered a gearbox failure shortly after buying the car in 2006. So, it went to Matt at Autowerke in Norwich for repair. It was too far gone for repair, so Matt sourced a used replacement, reconditioned the necessary parts and installed it. The invoice indicates that this was done at 80,783 miles. Body work The good news is that on this car the sills, kidney bowls and B posts have been fixed. I took it to Sportwagen in Essex in 2010 and they cut everything away on both sides, replaced it with good metal, replaced the kidney bowls and put it all back together. As they were doing so, they took photos and kept a record of the time spent on the various parts of the work. This is all available for you to see. The sill covers are not fitted to the car. I removed these before it went to for the sill/B post work and when the car came back I liked the way it looked. So, I have not replaced them. This also has the added advantage of removing one more place where road dirt and moisture can gather. The covers are with the car, as are the rubber trims that go with them. Have look at the pics. The rear wheels have spacers fitted. This brings them out a little wider to fill the wheel arches a bit more. The targa top was recovered with mohair in 2012. The car is up for £32,000. Further details and more pictures are available here.

It benefits from a shed load of recent work with all the necessary and expensive jobs carried out. 19. Viewed, posting this information in the cars for sale heading, but reading the rules, one must own the car to post there. SO, while looking at the 'Flat Sixes web-site' they've listed all the Porsche models to be auctioned off. Shown as 'Lot 92' there, verbiage only, noting a 1977 911 Carrera 3.0 Targa with "Pre-Auction Estimate $115,000-$145,000". Also 'Lot 5034' writes, verbiage only, noting a 1977 911 Euro Carrera 3.0 with "No Pre-Auction Estimate. Watch for these>
  20. Now that my car is finished (ish) and we will soon be moving house, it's time to release some of my collection back into the wild.. Parts can be collected from Southampton (where I live) or Silverstone (work) by arrangement. I will also be going to Simply Porsche next week, weather permitting, so can bring smaller items there. 21. Truly sad to be advertising my 911 SC Targa for sale. I've had this car longer than I've had my children, and sometimes have been queried over which I love most..... Bought in July 2005 from the former club secretary for Porsche Club GB following a fully documented, bare metal restoration, including a top end overhaul and gearbox refurbishment. Interior and targa panel also felt the love and were reupholstered by Southbound. It was so good it even featured in a Practical Classics article! The car is very original, even to the point of sourcing its issue registration plate. The only upgrades have been practical: hydraulic tensioners, 3 point rear seatbelts, Bilstein shocks all round and turbo tie rod ends, as well as a sports exhaust. Work of late has been minimal due to no requirement, but work in the last 3 years have included new tyres (Bridgestone SO2), new alternator, battery and horn. Servicing is thorough with alternate year full service at Porsche specialists (SP Autobahn, Stirling, since 2015) and oil drop every year; it covers less than 1500 miles per year. It does not go out in the rain (thus low mileage - I do live in Scotland!!) and has been dry stored for the whole time I have owned it. This is evident in the blemish free body, both surface and underside; there is no rust. The car has covered 150,000 miles, but is still taut with all of its horses in the stable! The power delivery is classic air-cooled 911, linear and progressive with a wild banshee howling in your ears north of 5000rpm!!! A beautiful sound. Open to any inspection - this car is cracking and I am honestly sad to lose it. Offers over £37,000. Mobile: 0780 9473121 Cheers Bins
