My fave ORANGE 911

Has been a lot of talk on this site recently about a certain "ORANGE" 911. I have a great memory of an orange 911 when as a youngster :whistling: I saw the 1980 world sports car championship 6 hour race at Silverstone (went with my Dad and brothers to all subsequent races for several years - brilliant!)

1980 - Pole by a mile and in the lead by a mile until engine problems half way through was John Fitzpatrick (sharing with Guy Edwards and Axel Plankenhorn) in a mega quick ORANGE Kremer K3. Will always treasure this as my greatest ever Porsche memory. 935s going down Hanger and in a hurry into Stowe, flames belching was a sight never to be forgotten ....... Could go on forever see www.racingsportscars.com for a fantastic archive site with loads of pics and stats .........

There were lots of 930 turbos in the lower GT class that seemed incredibly slow compared with the group 5 Porsches and Lancias but guess what the slowest car was? You guessed it all you frustrated Group 1 Snetterton trackday drivers ....
