Has anyone replaced their Tacho/Rev Counter Display

If all you need is extended range on your dial then you can get it recalibrated and the dial redone with a greater range and increased red line. Alternatively you could fit a tacho from an earlier 911 with an 8K range and 7300 red line. The most expensive option (over £400) is a Stack dial, they do one specifically for Porsche applications.

This is my stock 911 SC rev counter after I had the face changed by North Hollywood Speedometer. Cost about about £100 and they do lots of other options/styles. Only downside is that they are in the USA, but I think there are a few specialists in the UK who perform a similar service.

Yes. I'd heard that he was a miserable get. There's also a place in South Wales that does this sort of stuff, read mixed reviews about them as well.

He was very friendly and helpfull when I last spoke to him?

The repairer in South Wales is O.K. but takes an age to do the work.

Ask Dom about him.
