Thanks.

Arch liners may be on the list after sorting the monster truck ride hight.

Exhaust is 1 on 1 out 85mm, was £385 including fitting kit which seemed a good deal. Not sure how often the 25% sales are but saving up for the next one.

Fancied an easy job this evening.

Liked the look of these.

http://www.historika.co.uk/porsche-parts/Porsche-911-CLOCK-BLANK/43.htm

So found a better value alternative.

20160706_194054_zpsbxrgblop.jpg

Fitted an additional oil pressure warning light.

20160706_201336_zpsajjvrits.jpg

Wired in parallel to the existing light.

20160706_202128_zps05cse77h.jpg

Pushed everything back in.

20160706_202557_zpsrou41orc.jpg

It even lights up!

20160706_202613_zpsmjgbawdx.jpg

Really pleased with it, only took 30mins should be better off if I sell the clock and the other blanks(had to buy 6).

Will list as soon as I get chance.

Hi there,

I've now got quite a collect of shiny bits ready for a suspension refurb. Managed to get most of it from design 911before they updated their prices to reflect the weaker pound. Still looking at the new KW dampers but think I'll just stick with new standard and see now I get on.

Going to attempt the strut brace first.

This side should be fun.

Been a bit distracted by a house renovation over the past couple of years which is now hopefully hearing completion,  but found this in the garage a couple of weeks ago.

Did a do to list last week and got a couple of jobs our of the way. First was removing the A/C compressor bracket, this had been bugging me for quite some time.

20191016_094425_resized.thumb.jpg.8bbe5345d32995f1fd5b203809aeeb67.jpg

Another 1.1 Kg of mass reduction and things looking much better, will be selling the bracket if anyone's interested £30.

I've like the looked of the combined jacking points, tow hooks for a while but wasn't convinced the ones I'd seen would fit the 3.2 due to the oil crossover pipe. Bit of hacking and came up with this;

Suspension is also together now, will try get some images of that later.

Hi there,

Hadn't noticed it looks the same as the heater hose but I think its this stuff from Demon Tweeks;

It is on my list of things to look at though as I don't think  its sealing properly, the wire reinforcement stops you getting a proper seal with the jubilee clip.

Yes, hard to get a proper seal with a standard jubilee clip...I have corrugated tubing on my Fish pond pipework and I use these sort of clips

Thanks Graham,

That makes sense, should have realised that's the type of clip to use as when a bought replacement heater ducting it was that type of clip sold with them.

Butler Technik were a great supplier for ducting and fittings for the A/C removal/ backdate by the way.

Bit more progress today. Interior lights were another thing that the roll cage got in the way of, cost of that cage fitting wasn't that great but there loads of little issues like this that I wanted sorting. Bought there boxes from maplin (RIP) to mount them in.

and another job crossed of the list.

Been a while but just got an MOT and given it a polish20220523_183800.thumb.jpg.dc3b9fc6e636b8250456555975a20226.jpg

Started looking at roof racks to carry my bike and found this.

This might be the start of a slippery slope as I've started looking at light pods and BF Goodrich All terrain. Oh and I was given tube bender at the tip by an old guy last year.......

Hi There,

No Downsides so far and fitting was straightforward. I cant really say what the difference is as I did a full suspension refresh and upgrade. Specification is as follows;

  Tie Rods OEM Turbo
  Front A arm Bushing Rebel S Racing - (RSR) Front Bushing Set
  Front Camber Plates Tarrett  - Monoball Camber Plates
  Front ARB Mount  Superpro
  Strut Brace Rennline - RSR Weld in.
  Front Damper Boge/Sachs -Standard Insert

  Rear arm bush Rennline - Mono ball Rear Control Arm Bushing
  Rear  Spring Plate bushings Rebel - S Racing (RSR) Rear Bushing Set
  Rear ARB Mount  Superpro
  Rear drop Links Tarett - adjustable drop links
  Rear Dampers Boge/Sachs - Standard Insert

The car also has a weld in cage and has lost quite a bit of weight which has made a difference. Still need to get the Geo done but really pleased with now it feels. I keep putting this off as ideally like to make a setup to do this myself and be able to play with the settings.
