Help! Having rebuilt my engine the last thing to go on is the Alternator and fan housing.

I stripped this down sometime ago and have forgotten how it goes back together! Local electrical shop have rebuilt. Looked at pelican parts good info but just 1 point missing.

The alternator is back and I have the fan off, i have the following parts woodruf key, 5 shims (I beleive there should be six but this is what was on the car) outer pulley half ,keyed washer domed washer and nut. I cannot remember the position of the keyed washer.

The woodruf key goes on first? or is it the keyed washer? the fan needs to line up with the woodruf key and then be pushed / pressed on? Does the keyed washer then go on follwed by inner shims then outer pulley with inner shims follwed by dome washer and nut? I know ( complete dopey git for not noting these things when I dismantled)

Help would be greatly appreciated.

From memory it's:

Woodruff key

Shims

Outer pulley half

Shims

Keyed washer

Nut

Obviously adjusting the inner/outer number of shims to get the belt tight.

Thanks for the reply but still does not answer my question fully.

Do I just push the fan on over the woodruf key and if the keyed washer goes on later where does the domed washer go?
