Fuel Lines

I'm sorry to post this in the most general section and I'm sorry if you already know ...

But it's worth checking all original fuel lines.

The new E95 and E90 fuels can easily finish off struggling lines, at best rendering your car useless, at worst, firing it in more ways than the one we would wish for ..

Mine simply wouldn't start, but it took me a little while to find the pool of petrol ... :)

Would we know if we were using this fuel? (I mean is it labelled as such at the pump)

Or is any fuel sold these days likely to make your car explode if it is not brand new and on hire purchase?

Hi guys

E90 and E95 should not be used on older cars. The Porsche website does give a list of what can and can't use it.

In the UK it's not a problem as E90 and E95 are not widespread. Over here in Euroland E90 is common, you have to use "Super" at 10c a litre more.....

The natives are complaining you pay less for your fuel, but then use more of it, so the logic beats me Einstein.

All the pumps here are clearly marked, I've yet to see any in the UK.

Hope this helps

Paul
