99.9% finished the engine bay wiring. Just not sure about the engine harness plug. All the other wires match up in colour, but I have a yellow/black on one and yellow/red on the other. I assume they join up?

Oil system done, fuel done, wiring nearly done. Not long until its ready to crank.

Yes, but it is a bit academic in your case as you have eliminated the engine bay heater blower.

Yellow/Red is from the heater control relay and Yellow/black is to the blower motor.

Thanks Mark.

Only just seen this post, a superb build. What was the rational behind the flexible oil cooler hoses? They look great by the way.

Thanks. Probably cheaper than original new pipes, also less connections.

Looking good. Although I trust the wing fits ok over those oil lines? Angle on the connectors seems to to pointing them quite high.

What about on full lock/suspension loading?

Yeah wing fits easily.

What about on full lock/suspension loading?

Only one way to find out!

Engine all wired up, oil in, starter wired up, fuel pipes connected, fuel in, vac hose connected, clutch connected, accelerator connected and gearbox oil in. Put a battery on and thought I'd see what I got but no fuel pump or starter. I don't have half the wires sorted up front yet so will spend a day or two going through everything.

Got cracking with the wiring yesterday. After finding a dud DME relay we fudged it to switch and got fuel pump with ignition. We then found the yellow starter wire from the ignition has 12v on crank behind the dash but not at the engine loom. Must be a break in the wire or something. After running another wire we got starter from ignition switch too. Cranked for oil pressure which we got, put the plugs back in and give it a go.... no spark :(

I've ordered a couple of DME relays, one for spare, and hopefully get it sorted next weekend.

Took Friday off work to get a good 3 days on the car this weekend. Yesterday fitted the new DME relay, can hear it click when the ignition is on but no fuel pump, but I guess it won't fire that until it gets crank signal? I have a new DG (speed sensor) but original BG (reference sensor), checked the resistance of the new one which is within spec at 0.95kohm. The original sensor was something crazy so I guess its faulty and not firing the coil or fuel pump when it cranks. New sensor on order!

As well as a few other jobs I got to the bottom of the yellow starter wire from the ignition. Part of the yellow wire must have been removed and run through an immobiliser at some point. Not sure why Kroon Harnesses didn't find this when I sent the harness off for a refub, they just tapped over where the sheath was cut.

Joined it up and engine now cranks from the key.

Started on tidying the instrument wires, what a horrible job!
