Wow, gearbox as well Dr.

Is it just an inspect & replace any worn parts or are you changing anything?

+1 on looking good. I trust you have told them your deadline many times?

I ran in my engine after rebuild on the way to Spa/at Spa. Used about 5 litres of oil in a weekend due to the pinched valve stem seals on the exhaust side, but no harm done. It was rebuilt in 48 hours and went back in the car the night before I collected the car. It had to come out for the clutch and pressure plate in any event.

Many, many times... :rolleyes::P

And there won't be stem seal pinching issues - already been through a list of possibles that could happen.

It'll be fine...it'll be fine...

Black and silver fan/housing combo looks good, as does everything else. Good work, I bet you can't wait.

Some colour now added: compensates for the colour that drained from my cheeks when I saw the preliminary bill :wacko:

You're supposed to be facing them when they give you the bill :lol:

Looks smart :ani_clapping:

Seeing how much work has been done and how good it looks it was always going to be spendy!

It'll be worth it.

Don't worry Doc, the invoice will be more than offset by the stratospheric hike in the cars value now that the election is settled. .....(Pause whilst Gary formulates a suitable response).......Best get a new AV once it's all back together.

Looks brill Fraser,

How does it sound.

Oh, so *now* you can see pics in posts.... :P

I suppose if I was being really fussy it sounds a little underwhelming - the back box needs sooting up a bit and running in. Good news is there is no booming/droning and it does sound good, but it isn't back of the neck hair raising like the TT back boxes were......Yet.

Not gone over 4k rpm either, so very early days. The engine is going to be epic though. Clutch and gearbox are great, no issues with the LW flywheel and the whole drivetrain just sings and whizzes along :woohoo:

On 155 miles so far, another 850 to do by Monday lunchtime: I suspect 3 laps of the West Midlands are in order over the weekend :steering:
