Rear Crossmember repair

Hi everyone,

I removed my rear lights and was disappointed (but not altogether surprised given the dirt trap) to find some corrosion to the ends of my rear crossmember.

It's corroded through on the left side so will need repair. I've searched but can't really see anything on the internet or on here but I guess I can't be the only one who's had corrosion here.

It doesn't look like there are any repair panels available which is not the end of the world, but for access it looks like the rear outer wing will need to be cut away, which is a shame as there's nothing wrong with it on the face of it.

Anyone tackled this area?

That answers my question. I'll get onto it. I made repair parts for the front inner wings which were profiled so should be no problem.

You can cut off the corner off the rear wing and reflector panel as one piece to gain access and replace when finished.
