Johny i was pulling your leg..but i know for sure you can pass Czech Mot with these light bulbs. They have the legal pattern when on high on right for pedestrians and completaly same as any other Osram Phillips Sylvania and e.t.c headlight light bulbs.

Oh ya ,you are part of Europe but what i do not get why do you have to have a passport to enter Europe.... what gives??I did night test with my 911 bud and no britte blinding light at all

So i love my new LED...i do have how ever H5 in regular 100W head- light assemblies...

Ivan

Just wonder how the police would see if the light bulb has E on it??

I use LED's bulbs ( same as teh woodpecker ones ) in my 964 . They are superb 'cheap' upgrade. Been in the car for a coupe of years now.  Did have one bulb fail on me for some reason ( kept blowing the fuse ) , but apart from that they've been spot on.  I run these in stock LHD 964 headlights with beam deflectors stuck on .. pass MOT every time .    MOT pass - yes .. legal ? who cares... I'd rather see at night on country roads when others cars are coming towards me

For those that want to dabble in LED's in general look here:

Fitted these the other day, lighting is much improved and beams seems fine.

They have now released a newer version £100 plus postage for a pair - http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/led-headlamp-bulbs-shop.phpgreat l

Do you know of a source for new RHD reflectors?

I think you can also have your original ones re-mirrored, there's a thread someone with a few options

I suggest that you do a bit of research about this business before committing to using them.

I did and ended up using Derby Plating for my H1's.  http://derbyplating.co.uk/

Ah I'm guessing there are potential issues with Ashford?

Looking at the turnaround times quoted by both I think it's a job best left for next winter.

EDIT - oh dear just read some reviews. One to steer clear of - thanks for the heads-up.

Yes there is plenty of info out there.

Completion of my H1's was quoted as 12 weeks so it is really a winter project. Derby plating's quote was around £120 cheaper the Ashford and when I went there I was comfortable about the setup. Lets see what the finished article is like!

Cheers

Coming back to the question of LED Headlamps, does anyone know of any other supplier for the complete RHD LED/projector headlamp?

I currently see RPM technik (£1825) or Design911 (£1195) as the only choices at the moment...

Given that new RHD headlamps are around £950, I am tempted to just save up a bit more for the LED versions.

Have you looked at Flat6 illumination?

I’m not 100% sure they’re led but he does RHD, chrome, black, clear lenses etc.

Not bad prices but import duty might be expensive.

Can't see any pricing on the (awful!) website.

Do you know what they cost?

Neat, will take a look.

My experience of importing things from stateside is to change the symbol from $ to £ as a very rough guide on cost landed. So guessing £1000 for the flat 6 illumination stuff... ish :)

Cheers Russ
