Initially I thought that I had made a mistake but the decision to go with Gulf Blue is really working as the bits/trim is added:

Are you happy with the body shop, in terms of ability, cost etc? I need some work on my SEC and will shortly be moving to Surrey.

Looking good BTW :)

Yup, so far I'm very happy with C&S - they were recommended to me by Russell at RSR engineering and have undertaken a number of 911 restorations.

I guess the acid test will be when she is finished in approx two weeks time.

....also very happy with the service received from Paul Hodges at Porsche Guildford when it comes to quickly securing parts & trim with very little notice :)

Further to Lewis's recommendation, I dropped my sports seats off with Gerry at Inflex earlier today.

Gerry certainly knows his Porsche seats and spent some time showing me his work and matching the leather so looking forward to collecting the seats in the new year.

C&S making good progress, with a few bits & pieces including side script left to do.

MOT due this week - can't wait :)

PS - black headlight surrounds need to be blue?

Looking good Martin, I know what you mean about the headlamp surrounds, they sort of work , but sort of don’t in a strange way, personally I’d go body colour but easy enough to change.

Im sure it’ll fly through the MOT.

good job

Graham

Canford Classics have that Blue Madras in stock. It was acquired when I was sourcing some Red Madras for my 911S

Thanks John - unfortunately I'm now broke so come some decent weather I will just enjoy as is :(

Hmmmm thinking about it.....probably should start saving for 8"+9" Fuchs, ITB's for the 3.6 and maybe some Anodised trim/chrome headlights etc....it's never ending

Must be nice to find your 911 inspiration almost anywhere.

Although my 911 clothing is limited to event T shirts. :D

Thankfully sailed through the MOT.

Subject to side script sticker, rear reflector c/w fogs (courtesy of BenC), blue headlight rings and some snagging she should be ready for collection next week.

I must say Chris Shepherd and his crew at C&S Coachworks have done a great job :)

As I discovered yesterday, the painted rings are yet to be re-installed, the black surround on the photograph are part of the body of headlight unit.

i must admit black headlight rings do contrast nicely with the Gulf Blue, but in the long term I will probably go with chrome rings and clear anodise the window frames & trim.

Blimey, I can't believe it's that long ago when I met up with you at the Silverstonr classic, just before you left the country.

You were in the yellow RSR, do you still have that?
