Engine Compartment light

Right, I've sorted the luggage compartment light, now to tackle the engine compartment light, which has never worked. The bulb is good, so it's not that.

Taken the bulb holder/switch off and attached the wires to each end of the bulb, but nothing happening. Anyone know how this fits in to the wiring system ? There is no mention of it in the manual, and seemingly no fuse.

OK, it's not a major problem, but nice to have everything working.

It works. Nice to know I'm not the only one !

Strange thinking on behalf of the Porsche engineers though. If you have a problem engine wise and need some light, but can't run the engine to charge the battery.......

I know, it's going to take a while to flatten a battery, can't see why they didn't use a push switch as on the doors and the luggage compartment lights. Suppose they had their reasons.

Thanks for the help guys.

Took me ages when first getting mine to realise that you could turn off the engine light by sliding the cover.  Thought it was always on when the headlights were.
