GimmeShelter Posted May 9, 2020 Share Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) We were fortunate enough to have both the 205 GTI and 309 GTI in the household at the same time. The 309 was indeed the better handler, and was voted Chassis of the Decade by one of the magazines (Car?). It was so good I replaced it with a second one (you couldn't see its awkward looks when you were driving it), going from rubber rear spoiler on the first one to painted metal item on the second car (now where have I heard that before?).
