Carrera32TargaSp Posted January 19, 2019 Share Posted January 19, 2019 Hi all, My fuel tank (stippled dark creamish / greeny colour) is a bit dirty a little surface rust near battery - but I'm told by mechanic no issue. I'd like to clean or repaint it (but keep the sticker in palce). Also, paintwork is quite dirty around the front area. Any thoughts on best way to clean? Roy M Posted January 19, 2019 Share Posted January 19, 2019 (edited) If you're taking it out you'll need a few containers for petrol - there's a lot more in than there seems to be! Worth doing though - seams on mine had surface rust which I cleaned, treated and painted. Grey body schutz final coat and jobs a good 'un! Wasn't planning to take out this time as it minor discolouration, but I will in the medium term (and note the seal type, availability of sticker etc.).
