Fuchs with 'angled' petals

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any insight on the edge of the petals on this Fuchs? It all looks genuine with the numbers and castings on the inside but there seems a weird angled edge to them. I've not seen it on any others, however I have been told some are like that. I am trying to understand how/why.

Cheers chaps.

It looks to me like the top surface of the petals has been skimmed, possibly to remove pitting or damage.

This is the original design of Fuchs, with the cut out.I am guessing perhaps, need for larger tyre  sizes, there was a pressing change .

Look OK to me. Maybe received a touch too longer to the buffing/finishing machine before they were painted.

Look good to me too. Not pointy at the petal edges so look real deal.

Update for the interested.

I managed to pick up a second 8" Fuchs which, as anticipated, doesn't have this angled edge to the petals. Oddly the part numbers are identical and they both weight 6.9kg. It is still a mystery but nothing that will hamper my driving experience!
