Unfortunately I live in the city centre so I try head out of the city to get the car up through the gears... but i’m usually in 2nd or 3rd gear until I get out of the city. I’m new to the classic car ownership, so i’m trying to learn best how to look after a car, etc. When cruising in 2nd or 3rd gear, are these cars best left at 2,000 or 3,000 RPM... or should you be changing up a gear if you are at 3,000 RPM? Nige Posted March 18, 2019 Share Posted March 18, 2019 A 3.2 should bimble along nicely in traffic, they have enough torque and the motronic manages the engine well enough.
