911SC bucking at 1500 revs

Recommended Posts

Thanks Jev.

We go on 3rd May - so there is time, however not doing a like for swap means potential snags.  I'm also thinking I'll leave it and put everything in the car, just in case.

Might still fit the under tray though, just because it's shiny.

Gotta apologise to the massive. Took Mrs Bee out for breakfast today in Shirley. Bimbling along and paying attention for once in a village through a 30mph limit. 1500rpm and third were perfect. No bucking, no nuffink. Glad you got it sorted Northy. I agree with you now Les 🏆 Sooorreeee

Ha, good work :)

How long till you leave? I'd suggest leaving orig pump in place and take the new one as a spare.

I’d made the decision to leave the pump till I get back. Put half a tank in last night and went for a spin, hit a bump at speed and the fuel pump starting whining loudly.

So it looks like I’ll be changing it after all!

I’ll chalk that up to a lucky escape that it didn’t go on a Sunday in Beligium.

what was the last time you have changed the fuel filter??

Ivan

About 3,000 miles ago.

I'm really keeping my fingers crossed it's not actually a blockage in the tank.  Don't think I'll have time for a tank swap before my trip.

3000 miles and how many years?

Just over 1 year.

Doesn’t sound like pump failure to you, Ivan?
