Removed my radio but can't see the tuner unit

Do you mean the amplifier? If so its under the left front footwell floorboard. The "tuner" itself is located inside the radio/cassette unit, unless you an expert of car stereo internals it will be difficult to pinpoint exactly, besides the knob mechanism

take some pics, the factory radio connects to an amplifier under the left front floorboard. Unless air con is fitted and then I have no idea where it connects. In any case, as before the "tuner" is inside the radio. Perhaps you have some snazzy graphic equaliser or etc, which some photos will explain. My 78SC had a factory porsche CR stereo in it, which i wired for MP3, but it was a long while ago!!

James if you have a radio cassette unit then the tuner (i.e. 'radio') will be within the dash mounted unit you have - there isn't a separate unit.
