What was the format of the event @Chris_911? Website said it was kind of a mystery tour. Turn up and details given. Sounds fun.

A number of activities starting with getting to a specific location (a quarry) at a certain time.  We were then released in packets of five cars to drive a hill route to the final destination, a kart circuit.  On arrival you were given a present and parked up on the circuit.  You booked in, we’re given a goody bag and left to your own devices for a while.  Socialise, beer, bratwurst etc.  We met the guy who hand built the 904 and had a good chat with him.  It’s a real thing of beauty.  Also met the other UK drivers including Frank Cassidy from Boxengasse, nice bunch.  There was music, food etc and also the option of driving some selected routes in the hills around the area.  It was ok, but not sure I will repeat but who knows as the recipe for these change

Cheers Ian. Sounds fun. They just did a tunnel run I think. Which looked pretty cool. Strange outfit by the looks of it. Kind of secretive. Too cool to advertise lol

I think the  secrecy is part of the attraction for some. For instance once you got your place you were told that you had the be in the area of Wuppertal for 3pm on 31 Aug.  You would be told by email on the day exactly where the meet was to be and would be sent your ticket also, which you had to print.  Chris pointed out that this might be difficult for anyone travelling..... and they sent the tickets earlier to enable printing.

It was ok, but there were definitely a lot of people there who had bought into the hot rod/outlaw being a fashion thing without knowing much about their cars.

I’m busily looking for my nearest beard seller (life of Brian) and browsing corduroy 😂

Sorry Frank if you’re reading this. I’m not really.

The whole Porsche outlaw thing reminds me of 50 something year old professionals trying too hard to be Harley wannabe biker gang dudes 🙄

😍 the green one with gold hippie stripes, takes a brave man to paint his car like that

It’s only the 50 somethings that can afford them 😂 I agree, the green n gold a bit trippy. Wasn’t there a hot wheels car with that design. Corvette or something with a silver lump sticking out of the bonnet 🤔
