Wanted; LHS rear 1/4 light seal for '87 coupe.

Recommended Posts

Long story short, I'm looking after a coupe belonging to a mate who lives in the USA. Post respray, the monkeys who re-fitted the glass did an exceptionally poor job. Indeed they split the old rubber..... Mark from Specialised Windscreens told me to avoid a new seal if possible, but get a used one. '87 car is right on the break between a '78 - 87' seal and a '87 - '89 seal. No idea what the difference is.

Anybody got one please? Chris.

I'm sure, but I'm just going on Mark's advice. If none come up here and currently nothing on ebay I will of course use a new seal.

Chris.

Ha ha.... That's funny Matt 'cos I got the info from your website!! You list a '65 - '77 a '78 - '87 and a '87 - '89!

No worries, good to know the later ones are all the same, I'm still looking.....

Chris.

BUMP! Sold a couple of URO branded ones to Mark J (I think) a while ago, wish I'd kept them now! David Gander, I'm sure you must have one somewhere in your stash...?

Chris.

The more I look at it the less I can't decide if it's the '78-'87 seal or the '87-'89 version.... Matt, is it possible to tell by chassis number please?

Yes, have a pair of used rear quarter glasses but need to check as to their condition.

You wouldn't have a pair of early opening rear window frames and glasses would you David? Look great in my 912
