Sweet Rides

Recommended Posts

Saw this on Jev’s favourite social media platform, thought it was gorgeous but didn’t know where to share. So a sweet rides thread. Sorry if there’s already one out there.

Anyway, the Singer Sine Qua Non commission. Those wheels on that colour car.

I've never liked them in silver but they look great in gold.

That’s Drew Coblitz’s car. He had a ‘regular’ Singer before and lot of other stuff. I’ve known him a long time, nice guy.

ooohhhfff +1

Those wheels are bronze unless I am colour blind.  I have never much liked the Fuch-a-likes on Singers in the past, so fully onboard with someone brave enough to but something different on.  What is the tail on the car?  Normal Singer/964-ish thing or a kind of ducktail?

theon design do some nice stuff.......singeresk but a lot cheaper and a uk company 👍👍

Singer-esque?

That would not exist if it wasn’t for Singer, I’m somewhat amazed they’ve not been hit by some form of ‘litigation’

There are probably 100 companies doing similar.

I know, it doesn’t sit well with me that’s all. The smug look on the company owners face on a YouTube video, saying they merely took inspiration from Singer makes me cringe.

Plus I’m bored of Singer copies...

Knock offs are always cheaper than the real thing

Wahoooo, hang 10 and ride that Singer wave dude 🙄

In all seriousness I have complete respect for anyone brave enough to go it alone so wish Theon well 😎

They don't seem to come in 16" though? I do like the bare stud look. I might get some steel wheel nuts. Cheaper than wheels

Any size you like Phill https://www.imagewheels.co.uk/rm1-classic-build-minilite-alloy-wheel/

How’s your motor doing?

I was looking at the Minilite website. Those Image ones are expensive, I'd rather have Campags at that price.

Engine is feeling strong, looking forward to being able to give it the beans.

In fact looking at the Image ones they are not the same at all and actually look a bit rubbish compared to the above ones.
