Upgraded forum subscription packages are now available here - this costs from just 4p a day so please consider supporting the forum. All discussion boards and technical forums will continue to be visible to all users. Forum software add-ons including the Private Messaging and Photo Uploader systems will be deprecated during August for free members.

New posts in the IB Cars and Parts Classifieds, Marketplace Discussions and Wanted Ads sections are now restricted to supporting members only. Access to the Classifieds, Marketplace Discussions and Wanted Ads section will be supporting members only from September 1st.

Note that the rules on trade adverts have not changed. IB still does not permit trade ads, but I am working on an 'IB Professional' supporter's option which may be of interest.

Pretty sure that car was at Border Reivers for some time so maybe it got traded. If you look closely at the large images lower down the page you can see what that shiny paint is (almost) hiding.

Some rust inside the b pillars . That could be expensive to fix. The front wing looks like it's missing paint ?

‘In the shade it like velvet’ - such a terrible write up, filled with grammatical errors and tedious motor trade cliches; you’d expect better from someone selling a near-on 40 grand car.

This has been relisted, for the 4th time now I think. They said they had a deposit on it last week but now that sale has fallen through.

Seems like the right price price give or take and it’s a lovely colour combo so I wonder why it can’t find a home??

Certainly looks great in the pics. If I was looking I would certainly be interested in giving it a home.

Bubbles in the paint around the engine lid release.

No service book stamps between 2001 and 2014 and no invoices either.

The reg is hidden in the photos but clearly visible in documentation. A check of the MOT history shows comments about B post corrosion in 2006 and various comments about dragging brakes and corroded pipes over the years but no receipts to show they were ever addressed.

Not exactly confidence inspiring at that price...

Looks pretty, but just to add:

Had recent paint but front wings have bubbles where they meet the sills.

Also bunch of loose wires under the dash, could just be hifi related but still not good for price.

Big miles for an SC and no mention of snapped head bolts.

Did UK SC's run air injection/smog pump or is that an A/C pump, if the later where are the dash controls?

Caveat Emptor - the principle that the buyer alone is responsible for checking the quality and suitability of goods before a purchase is made.

Unfortunately in recent time we have seen several dealers go to the wall, so today more than ever one needs to conduct detailed check on both the vehicle and the seller.
