Offered for sale is my Audi A3 Sportback. This car has always had a fairly pampered existence with a great service history and low mileage. The cambelt and waterpump was changed by a local VAG specialist in 2016/17 at 63k miles. Other items such as Bosch battery, HPFP cam follower and diverter valve have all been changed with genuine VAG parts as preventative maintenance (did I say it was pampered!).
The reason the car is for sale is simply because with 2 children and all of their 'equipment' we have outgrown the car so need something bigger. The bodywork is in good condition for the year but has got the usual age related marks as well as scratches on the rear bumper from loading push chairs etc over the years. Please remember that this is not a new car!
It took me a long time to source this car back in 2015 and I saw a lot of tired old rubbish along the way. All in all, I would describe this as a great little car that has never let us down, drives really nicely & will make the next owner very happy.
Bargain price for quick sale as new car has arrived £2795

Advertised elsewhere but thought I'd stick it here too in case anyone was interested

Alex - my boss at work is looking for a runabout. I have passed this on to him. Did you manage to find an Audi estate?

Sam

Thanks Sam. Looking at similar cars on Autotrader they seem to start at £3500 upwards so I have tried to price this to sell. Trouble is that it is a monumentally bad time to sell a car!!

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-search?sort=price-asc&postcode=hp65al&radius=1500&make=AUDI&model=A3&aggregatedTrim=TFSI&year-from=2005&year-to=2008&maximum-mileage=90000&transmission=Manual&minimum-badge-engine-size=2.0&quantity-of-doors=5

I never did find an Audi estate that I liked enough to buy so I bought a big old SUV instead but at least the badge at the front is the right one ;)

Agreed - car buying not currently high on anyone’s agenda. But recognise that your’s is a great buy. Would love it for myself ...

Buy it Sam. Treat yourself ;)

I think I'm a week or two late in advertising it so I may stick it in my parent-in-laws drive for 3 months due to current circumstances.

One lady owner gently ragged to the shops?

Well, it has been Mrs.P's car for some time and she does love the shops but sadly she's a bit, erm, steady behind the wheel!

Alex - have you still got the A3? Sam

Hi Sam, yes, it's sitting on my parent-in-laws driveway!

I have had a fair bit of interest but have just said to contact me again when travel restrictions are eased as I cannot really responsibly support viewings.

Hopefully, Bojo will allow car sales to proceed (from 2m distances) after Sunday at which point I will re-advertise.

Quick update in case anyone is in the market for a great little runaround - I have just dropped the asking price to £2595 ono

I honestly thought it would fly away at the previous asking price which seemed quite a bit below the same cars on Auto Trader and I have had a lot of questions, silly offers and a no show but nothing concrete. Personally, I think it's a lot of car for 2 1/2 grand so maybe I've advertised too cheap and put people off because they think somethings wrong with it or maybe cars aren't selling well because it's too close after CV-19 restrictions. Who knows but just in case anyone on here is in the market.

Car now sold and collected.

Funny, you put a car up for sale at £2750 and don't get that much interest but put it up at £2595 and I had a queue of people wanting to take a look and offering me deposits before collecting.

No wonder it's not sold, your PM box is full!

Hey Chris, I'm not sure if you were expressing an interest or just letting me know. If the former then apologies - I have cleared a bit of inbox space and did reply to you t'other day.
