Door catch adjustment

I've not needed to do this before but my driver's door is becoming more and more obstinate when it comes to shutting easily

Do  I need to adjust the striker plate or the latch on the door itself?

Sometimes it's fine but mostly needs a very significant slam. However! I have just oiled it and it seems to be fine now. I shall run tests.

I also noticed the lower hinge pin is trying to escape so that needs to be put back in its place.

Fix the hinge pin first as that may be causing the door to drop, with resultant in issues.

IME, if you push the door closed from the outside and the door tries to jump up slightly, then adjust the striker plate on the b-post.  If it is just hard to close but doesn't rise, then strip out the latch, clean and lubricate (WD40 is my beverage of choice here)
