They look waaaayyyyy better than I thought they would. Just need some centre caps now - next job for the 3d printer.......

Tyres work well too and the ride feels nice, a little former but in a good way.

Looks great Phil, always like Gold on Blue cars

Are they 16x7 and 16x8?

Thank you all, I'm well chuffed. Yes 7 and 8. They fill the arches perfectly.

Looks good!

The PremiumContact 6s look good too, are they N rated just out of interest?

Thank you. Not N rated unlike the sportcontacts.

Now for the really nerdy bit.

Campy 16x7 is 7.7kg + 205 at 9.2kg = 16.9kg. Cookie 15x6 + 195 = 14.1kg. 2.8kg weight gain per side.

Campy 16x8 is 8.3kg + 225 at 9.4kg = 17.7kg. Cookie 15x7 + 225 = 15.9kg. 1.8kg weight gain per side but 1.6kg taken off for wheel adapter means only a 0.2kg weight gain per side.

15x6 Cookies are very light at 6.5kg. I don't have a bare 7 at the moment to weigh.

Nice one Phil, gold on (best Porsche colour ever) arrow blue looks great.

The additional mass is well worth it especially if you offset the mass of any spacers or adaptors you were considering.

Thanks Alex, I'll be posting your spacers back to you today, much appreciated.

To continue my new wheels adventure I needed wheel caps. The Campys don't have the tall centre "tower" of the Cookies (or Fuchs?) and so the bearing caps protrude negating the use of the Porsche centre caps. Also, the hole is "just" too big for the centre caps and they don't fit tightly.

So what to do? Employ CAD skills of number one son, that's what.

1st attempt - too large and won't fit and too tall as well. 2nd attempt - completely cocked up, even larger and too shallow (number one son was very tired). 3rd attempt - too loose but right height. 4th attempt - bang on!

Attempts not in right order

Next design will be will chamfered corners to give a little shape, maybe a little gold Porsche badge as well, but these will do for now.
